It's good to acknowledge your pain and don't brush it off because it doesn't feel "like a big enough deal". If you're in the ER with a broken arm, it hurts right? What if someone next to you has both their arms broken, does that make your arm hurt any less? Acknowledge that you both are in pain, sympathize, and heal. Pain is pain. What I've gathered is that this song is about how you shouldn't compare your sorrows to others. The violin is his sorrow, bc he talks of playing it for his therapist. He calls it the smallest because he downplays his struggles, so to him they seem small next to others'. If you're struggling, your struggles are valid. Even if someone has it worse, your struggles are still valid.

I love the way how Ryan plays his ukulele aggressively. And can we talk about this video real quick? The backround is so chaotic I love it. And the audio gave me the 2000's vibes. Overall this is amazing.
