I think Akala is one of the worlds greatest talents. Not only is he fucking FIRE as a rapper, lyricists and musical talent he’s hands down one of most intelligent, kind hearted, educated people ON THIS EARTH ! You should react to his track Shakespeare.

Top lyricsts around for me are Aesop Rock, Locksmith, Lowkey, Sadistik and Akala. Shame lyricists never get the recognition they deserve, the labels dont care for that anymore. Check out Locksmith's Quarantine bars, both him and Akala need to do a track together.

It's not "A-carr-la" It's "A-kaa-la" It's the long 'a' sound. The phenome is "/a:/". We don't roll our 'r' sounds like Americans (especially in London and the south-east).

Think of it more as an "aw" sound than an "ar." So think Akawla not Akarla. (The 'typical' pronunciation is "Akahla," it's just the London accent throwing you) :)
