Nobody pointed out the starry eyes is just a symbolism of confidence. Akane has that level of confidence because she is a gifted theatrical performer, hence she performed like AI.

It is more like a visual representation of their "star power" and their determination, not really a real star pupil. Kinda like how the elemental effect of Breathing styles in Demon Slayer are just for visual effects

The great thing about Akane is not only her appearance (atmosphere), but also her "voice" and "way of speaking. These are special expressions that are not found in manga or pictures, but only in anime. I think we should applaud Akane's voice actor for this point. Because she plays Ai perfectly.

The eyes are not the main point. It's a more obvious way to show the audience she has transformed, yes, but!!!!All Japanese audiences are going crazy for Akane's voice actor, because the way she speaks exactly sounds like Ai. The moment she called Aqua, people even thought they switch back to Ai's voice actor with Akane, but no, it's just 10/10 perfect performance. Bravo.

Yeah, i get now why Rie also wanted to voice Akane, but honestly they made the right choice just having the Akane VA imitate it to a T. HONESTLY THOUGH, you know what really did it in for me? It wasnt even the eyes, it was the gestures and the body movement and the smile, it all felt like Ai, and I know it's deliberate too which is insane. Even that laugh at the end that was so playful and a bit teasing felt exactly like Ai. Such a good episode!

This is my second storyline of a teenage actor and them going into their method acting. The chills I got in the end was crazy. She really embodied her. Also I like how others pointed it out when Aqua said it something you are born with it, but Ai fake/ acted that persona, and a skilled actress can do too.

About the eyes thing, thats not actually something that you can see as we saw it. The stars are meant to represent "a light in the eyes" of some peoples that have talent or passion, with a potential to catch the eyes of everyone. it's not an actual star in their eyes. Te star is here for us to get that they have "something more"

If those who have Haoshoku Haki are people who have the potential to become Kings, then in the Oshi no ko series, those who have eyes shining like stars are people who have the potential to become stars such as idols, artists, actors and others. So don't think that eyes that shine like stars are contact lenses, because that's the concept of this anime.
