smh the amount of people don't know the difference between horsepower and torque is too damn high. torque is the amount of weight can be moved at a 1ft radius from the point of power, in other words from the center of the wheel when talking about torque at the wheels, so let's say you have 200 ft lb of torque that engine could spin a 200 lb set of 12" wheels(assuming the weight is at the lip of the wheel) now for horsepower sticking with the 200 ft lb torque figure, let's say it makes 200 ft lb at 4500rpm, you take 200×4500 and than divide by 5252 which would give you 170hp. horsepower is a measure of the 'work' completed, where as torque sheerly measures the strength of the engine, so torque = acceleration, horsepower = top speed. if you don't even know what the numbers mean how the hell can you judge them? 270 ft lb without nitrous on a car that likely weighs roughly 2000 lb is not bad at all.

people saying its not fully built why not ? if he did a mild compression piston rods cam valves etc his numbers are correct for a nitrous motor and car should be like a 10.8 car with that power on motor .

1:40 He's addressing those claiming that its a built motor. Hes basically saying its a stock/mild engine on Q16 and some juice. Doesnt look or sound like a built turbo/nitrous K to me.

v6-8 guys will never understand 4cylinder logic..its ok im a v8 guy myself till i started researching them and actually see that the numbers in the vid is real cause ive seen this car run..and the tune put into it. dont need run low low 10's..street race timing is atleast mid 13s...with asphalt and no prepped surface..so 277hp on these sub 2100lb shells is way faster than full interior mild bolt ons and 420ish hp weighing mid 3500-near 4000lbs on most domestic cars without nitrous or induction .

its not fully built, its 277 hp on a stock block...its also all motor..he races this car against on NA civics..they have turbo civics pushing 800 and 1000 hp..im sure if Aki was to fully build this motor it'd make well over 300

I'm not saying that amount of power is impressive, but if you know the whole power to weight, then you'd see how with that amount of power, you'd be faster than a lot of higher powered cars. Depending on how light it is, you may beat cars with 100hp more. That's what the "hype" is all about.

Damn my stage2 pro series is making 205 all motor in colorado. Ima go get a tune for nitrous now to see what the outcome I'll be. But a k doing 277 with nitrous.😅 Damn not really much when you think about it. Well this week or the next I'll be taking in mine for tuning, I'll post a video. But 277 is really good but when you say fully built. Dayum!!! I've seen a stock gsr in colorado running nitrous, was able to make 330 a stock jdm b18c1. Don't believe me, check "green bean civic" I think.

BECASUE THATS A LOT OF HP FOR A STOCK K20 and 2nd do you think they care if YOU think the car is slow.... the car probably runs mid 11s in the 1/4 mile which would be faster than a sti and evo... that also mean this car would run with stock z06s and stuff in the 1/4

The 8th gen Si has 197hp, but the 02-04 RSX-S has 200hp, and the 05-06 RSX-S has 201hp. All 3, which are ~180whp. The k20a has 220hp, and another k20a has 240hp. The Mugen RR Advanced is 260hp though, but not to the wheels. Just thought i'd say that since you made it sound like all k20's are 197hp like the 06-11 Si.
