The comedy with Sir Topham Hatt was hit and miss in CGI series but in my opinion Sir Topham Hatt has more good moments that bad moments in the CGI series.

All the Hatt’s were Hatless. Funny. Also, Sir Topham Hatt could use some help from Christopher Cormac Mitchell (Sir C.C Mitchell). Sir C.C Mitchell is the head manager of the Sodor & Mainland Freight Company, which is a subsidiary company to the real life Freightliner Group. C.C Mitchel is a good business partner to the Controllers of both The Daleton Railway (A standard gauge railway in the far north end of Sodor), and The North Sodor Railway (A narrow gauge railway in the far north end of Sodor).

Now even if he realized that he was being a jerk to Thomas in SLOTLT and apologized for it, Sir Topham Hatt would still have to suffer from bad luck, anyway, because sometimes, apologizing won't be enough to undo the mistake he made.
