For people mistaking what ego meant, all 5 buildings were named building 5 to make it seem like they were all the lowest ranked. There are 125 players in the second selection, not 25.

Wait so does that mean that their team rankings don’t count either ? Like for Nagi’s team for example, Is Nagi still ranked as the best player in HIS team ? Or are they just random numbers made up ? I remember in episode 1 it showed Bachira being the top player in his team also. Do these rankings still apply ?

As the author of Blue Lock confirmed, Isagi is inspired by Inzaghi, the italian player. The name and style are both directly taken from it.

Mueller is a nice comparison. Though Isagi is based on Filippo Inzaghi, the Italian striker who was known for his remarkable positioning, beating offside traps and finishing.

It’s always a blessing to get your guy’s opinions it’s true isagi needs to level up without bachira but we should also remember he’s slowly leveling up he’s still a fledging at football which is why his spatial awareness got better when he faced niko and with his practice with the king aomi- I mean barou he figured out his formula for scoring a goal now we see how he will get better from here on out

@@colonelcider8292 I’d like to preface this with spoilers to and extent I guess In the next selection, Isagi shows massive improvement and maintains the mindset that he later on strives to achieve essentially the entire time. Here he truly “devours” his friends and foes, taking in their abilities, improving upon his own and he truly shines. However later on, Isagi starts to peter out in the improvement( or at least it feels like it due to the amount of time that he just does nothing). Also, I’d like to say beforehand that currently, Isagi is looking great and the manga is regaining the levels of hype I felt for ISAGI in the second selection. Also, I’m not talking about the one with the hologram goalkeeper, I’m talking about the part with Bachira, Rin, Nagi, Isagi, Baro, Kunigami, Reo( AKA Leo), Chigiri, etc etc where they compete and also where Kunigami is sent into the wild card place.

@@nemogd7991 I know bro, I am a manga reader. But come on Phase 2 of Blue Lock Isagi blows second selection Isagi out of the water. If it was prior to the Manshire City game then I'd agree but that point is long gone. Phase 2 is the best arc so far and easily the most hype of the story. I have to also disagree with the "peter out" bit as Isagi has a huge growth spike during the Manshire City game after coming to a huge revelation which changes how Isagi plays on a fundamental level

Personally for me, I have been playing futsal casually for like 9 years (just with friends and colleagues, once in a tourney) and I evolved into a poacher, However this year I have some confidence issues. Should I stop? Pass? Shoot? And that made me lose the ball. Isagi reminded me of what I don't want to become and what I do want to change. Blue lock really changed me and now I hesitate less and score more confidently, and even have two good goals this past two weeks. Now trying out that knuckleball (mainly because I am a lefty like Kunigami)

EEEEEEE GOLAZO the season is 24 episodes long so its far from over, idk if theyre gonna take a break after ep 12 though cuz some animes do that youre right about the whole thomas muller thing, without spoiling anything, i will say people are comparing manga isagi to muller. but muller wasnt your traditional in the box striker, and was more of a playmaker as an offensive midfielder, but yeeee youre also spot on about him not being able to play by himself. but youll see. second selection isagi is a monster
