I think a problem I have with a lot of Ifukube reorchestrations is that they're not as dirty or furious as they should be. The Mysterians' score in my opinion is supposed to sound like a musical manifestation of the engines that drive the machines of war. I love the version of M17 here, though.

The Mysterian March is probably my favorite of Ifukube’s military marches. So energetic and varied. You literally feel like the music lifts you up and flies you at high speed across a battlefield.

to me it's fascinating to study the gradual progress of score composition style Ifukube evident from Gojira to Radon to Mysterians to Baran. You can hear it, a different developing attitude change one to the next. Honda or Toho may have told him like the one before but not exactly, this feeling instead
