This is an in-depth tutorial on Burgmuller Op.100 No.2 "La Pastorale." In this piece, I'm focusing on how to count 6/8 meter, separate phrases, close each phrase gently, and play a pianissimo ending.
If I get enough views and likes, I will make this into a series and cover the rest of the book!

Thank you. My piano teacher assigned Pastorale this week. Your video was very helpful in getting me started with the song. I’m 9-years old and started lessons 2 months ago.

Loving these lessons on the Burgmuller book. You make it much less daunting to start tackling each piece. When I first look at the music, I’m thinking “oh no. This looks hard”. By the end of watching your video I’m thinking “I think it’s doable once I practice awhile.” I am not a natural musician but am able to learn with consistent practice everyday. Thank you again!

We only get to see the final product on the stage, but behind all naturally looking performances, there is a lot of training that goes into it. If you can learn to play pieces after everyday practice, you are a musician!
