The song is dedicated to all the lives lost in the Battle of the Atlantic. If you liked the video, please like and subscribe!
Lyrics:
From the mist a shape, a ship is taking form
And the silence of the sea is about to drift into a storm
Sign of power, show of force
Raise the anchor battleship's plotting its course
Pride of a nation a beast made of steel
Bismarck in motion king of the ocean
He was made to rule the waves across the seven seas
To lead the warmachine
To rule the waves and lead the Kriegsmarine
The terror of the seas
The Bismarck and the Kriegsmarine
Two thousand men, and fifty thousand tonnes of steel
Set the course for the Atlantic with the allies on their heel
Firepower, firefight
Battlestations, keep the targets steady in sight
Into formation, the hunt has begun
Death and damnation, the fleet is coming
He was made to rule the waves across the seven seas
To lead the warmachine
To rule the waves and lead the Kriegsmarine
The terror of the seas
The Bismarck and the Kriegsmarine
At the bottom of the ocean the depths of the abyss
They are bound by iron and blood
The flagship of the navy the terror of the seas
His guns have gone silent at last
Pride of a nation a beast made of steel
Bismarck in motion king of the ocean
He was made to rule the waves across the seven seas
To lead the warmachine
To rule the waves and lead the Kriegsmarine
The terror of the seas
The Bismarck and the Kriegsmarine
To lead the warmachine
Rule the waves and lead the Kriegsmarine
The terror of the seas
Bismarck and the Kriegsmarine
To lead the warmachine
Rule the waves and lead the Kriegsmarine
The terror of the seas
Bismarck and the Kriegsmarine

Although it ended in tragedy for both the HMS Hood and KMS Bismarck in that they both were sunk,its almost beautifully poetic even though many, many brave men gave thier all for honor and duty.although I'm a proud,patriotic American,I salute the men and women that served and sacrificed all for thier countries...sabaton said it themselves,that war knows NO nation!I love that they dont pick sides when writing the stories of the songs,instead objectively highlighting the best of humanity in war and honor no matter the nation or kingdom the soldiers came from.isnt it funny that the absolute Hell of war and atrocities committed therein have repeatedly brought out the best of humanity and the honor within?the human spirit will never fail even though it may seem like all is lost...amazing and inspiring

@@shinkreytpuylap What do you mean by "disrespectful ". Bismarck-class the battleship unlike Titanic is need to be respected more. There were 2.200 onboard the Bismarck and they fought bravely to protect the fatherland from the enemy on the sea and in the aftermath only 114 men survived, even their commanding officer have died. P.S Churchill on Bismarck after it sunk: “This morning shortly after daylight the Bismarck, virtually at a standstill, far from help, was attacked by the British pursuing battleships,” said Churchill. “I do not know what were the results of the bombardment. It appears, however that the Bismarck was not sunk by gunfire, and she will now be dispatched by torpedo. It is thought that this is now proceeding, and it is also thought that there cannot be any lengthy delay in disposing of this vessel. Great as is our loss in the Hood, the Bismarck must be regarded as the most powerful, as she is the newest, battleship in the world.”

Modern historians have debunked many myths about Bismarck. He was not the uber ship of songs. He had his flaws. That said, he was beautiful and fast, and powerful. And one of the all time great battleships. Reading books about Bismarck and Mighty Hood began my lifelong fascination with naval history.

Lot of people think that Yamato is stronger because of her sizes, they don’t know that Bismarck’s AP shells were deadlier and 80% more effective than those of Iowa or Yamato. Amour and cannons were designed to endure damages
@garyhill2740
@garyhill2740 2 жыл бұрын
Iowa fired 2,700lb superheavy AP shells that were some of the most powerful and effective naval shells ever made. Yamato fired 3200 shells that had penetration roughly equivalent but were a few hundred pounds heavier and a little larger than Iowa's. Bismarck's shells had high velocity and a flat trajectory, so were very accurate and good side penetration, but lessened deck penetration at long range because of shallow angle of attack. And his shells "only" weighed about 1700 pounds. So, no. Not more powerful or effective than Yamato or Iowa. But good guns, accurate, and able to rival any other ships he faced in the Atlantic. And the efficiency of his gun crews were as good as any in any navy.

@@garyhill2740 Excellent reply! Short, concise and 100% accurate! It is so easy to overlook that each navy has its own operational and tactical requirements. Since the Navies of Western Europe were destined to fight in the Atlantic, or the North Atlantic specifically with the horrendously terrible weather, weapons with high velocity were thought to work out better. Shorter travel time, lower trajectory and closer ranges. Defensive armor schemes similarly coped. Side armor was focused on as a priority and deck armor tended to lag behind. It really was a massively tactical difference when compared to how units were expected to fight in the Pacific. Naturally, the aircraft carrier made all this a moot point, but I digress.

@PRO PLEJER hahahahah Iowa would destroy the Bismarck before she even got in range to fire
@zachariasprice3762
@zachariasprice3762 3 жыл бұрын
@PRO PLEJER no, Iowa's guns had a much longer range, extremely precise fire control radar (Bismarck's radar could only detect targets, not control fire), and she was faster, which means Iowa could stay out of Bismarck's range and shoot, and Bismarck wouldn't be able to do anything about it. Iowa's armor doesn't even matter, because Bismarck would sink before even getting a chance to shoot. But if you want to discuss it so much, Iowa's armor was made of Krupp cemented steel and Special Treatment Steel (much stronger than the steel used in Bismarck or any non-American ship), and her armor was designed so vitals were immune to 16 inch shells from 18000 to 27000 yards. WHICH MEANS IOWA WAS PRACTICALLY IMMUNE TO BISMARCK'S CANNONS. And a single 7" shell is not enough to sink a cruiser, let alone any battleship, don't be ridiculous. Now stop being childish and don't speak of what you don't know.
