I'm an introvert with anxiety. After 3 years of graduating high-school, I still haven't made a single friend. My high school friends are so busy with their social life and new friends that they don't even remember me. When I first heard this song when it was released, I never cried. Yesterday night I was listening to their Winter album and I cried for the first time when I heard this song… I didn’t know why until I looked up the lyrics and cried more. I had to look up how old Chanhyuk was when he wrote this. He was 21, the age I turned this year. This year I’m about to graduate college and I learned a lot about life along the way… I learned I didn’t really know anything, that I didn’t have everything figured out like I though when I was 17. I experienced my first death in the family, my first dose of reality… my dreams will they ever come true?… I realized my mom had a unfulfilled dream too, and I didn’t know how I would feel at her age or if I could help her. I’m not sure, but I don’t feel like I know how to accomplish anything anymore sometimes. I used to think I really could do anything if I put my heart to it truly. I still want to believe that. This song is perfectly how I feel and hope at this part of my life, and it’s so comforting to feel someone my age felt this way too. It makes me think of all my friends and people I haven’t met yet who might feel this way too.
