Grabe sila manghusga. Meron akong 15 failed subject dahil naging working student ako at the same time bread winner narin, ngayon nag aapply ako sa mga company ramdam ko yung disappoinment nila kapag nakikita nila TOR ko. Naranasan ko na rin ma discriminate sa bank na ina applyan ko. Halos gabi2 ako umiiyak at umiiyak din ako pagkatapos ng mga interviews ko, kahit anong gawin ko, kahit naka corporate attire ako, kahit anong ayos ako. Wala parin dahil mas matimbang ang grades kumpara sa desido matuto at makatulong sa company. Habang nakikinig ako sa kanta naiiyak ako dahil there's a hope. Sana balang araw maabot ko pangarap ko para kina mama at papa at sa future family ko.

Growing up, I used to hate people around me because of jealousy. I have reached the point in my life where others opinions and hearsay don’t affect me anymore. This is because I’ve learned that whatever I do and whatever I say, I will not be able to change the image they have created in their heads about me, and that’s okay. One thing I can change though is how I take those criticisms and how I deal with them because at the end of the day they don’t know my story and I know myself better than them. So please just keep moving forward not for anyone, but for yourself.

This is what panganays always feel. The pressure is on them that they always need to pursue higher for the family. Minsan iiyak kanalang sa gabi at tatanunging bakit? kailan ko masasabi na ako naman na muna? Pwede bang magpahinga tapos yung sarili ko naman ang ibuild ko? Kasi pagod na pagod na pagod narin ako. Nakakapagod pero babalik at babalik ka pa rin sa dahilan kung bakit ka lumalaban. Pwedeng magpahinga at huminto pero bawal ang sumuko. I was told by a friend to listen to this song, I always hear this on the radio but just paid no mind. Told me to feel every inch of the lyrics, and I just find my tears falling while remembering all those words thrown at me not too long ago. Those nights when tears just won't stop. When everything just feels like falling apart. But yeah, I was able to find a proper job, and little by little picking myself up. I wanted to give up, but I guess we will never see who we might be if we do. So if any of you who are reading this just feels drained from every struggle you're facing, please take as much time as you need to breathe, and talk to someone if you feel they can listen. Days will be better. We can do this.

I am a middle child but acting as panganay 'coz my sisters married early. That's why I'm the breadwinner of our family. My parents have so high expectations from me, parang bawal magkamali. I am a NBSB as a result and I don't have the guts to prioritize myself first that's why I got tired always. Now I learn how to fly saying "ako muna". For you who read this I sincerely wish you the best, do what makes you happy 'coz this is everyone's first life.
