Comedy in the church?? Are we preparing people to make heaven, or are entertaining them? This pastor invited this comedian so that this particular sunday will be "interesting", and so that the members can go home and tell their neighbours "COme to our church, Akpororo was in our church today", thereby preaching comedy, instead preaching the real gospel (on the members' side) and increasing the church's population (on the pastor's side).......thereby dragging more and more souls to hell weekly. This is one of the numerous techniques the devil has to make sure pple suffer in hell with him...Carnality! "The time will come when they will no longer endure sound teaching, but will sorround themselves with teachers who suit their itching ears"...I wish eventhough one of these members would get convicted by the Spirit of grace. God pls show mercy

Absolutely disgusting! "My Father's House Shall be a place of Prayer", that's what Jesus said. How low the churches in this city are. l have been living in Lagos a few years now, and l wish l could find a good home church devoid of all the drama and foolishness. Yes, we can laugh and have a good time, but the altar, the sanctuary of the most high God is not the place for such levity. Let's laugh away our secret sins and emptiness. "the judge not police" will be quick to throw punches, and say "the Bible says don't judge" . Sick!

Hi Abigail, l would love to refrain from exchanges, and back and fort dialogues regarding this. Depression? Tell me about it. I suffered chronic depression myself plus various eating disorders for 14 years! Jesus made me whole. Clinical depression isn't something that is treated from jokes in the church. All things are lawful, but not all things are expedient. If you want to know how church should be a place of prayer, l encourage you to join Times Square, New York's webcast on Tuesday evenings and join their Sunday worship as well. You can also join the Brooklyn Tabernacle Church too. I have not seen one Christian who is free of the chains that held him or her bound, and their testimony was that of sitting under this type of ministration of jokes. Besides, go search your Bible and see what God's Word says about foolish talks and jests. Seriously, joking with the language of the Holy Spirit, and all you can tell me is that there is nothing in the bible that says anything contrary? Gosh, we need help Lord. We absolutely do.
