The reason is 80% of Goans household family atleast 1 works in foreign countries or on ship which provides enough money for other(sons or young brothers) not to work at early age(early youth) bcz of this most of young people starts working after 25-26 due to financial support they are getting from the elderly person or parants that's the reason unemployment rate is bit high here

Akshat, i am Goan and i loved your video, but i feel you missed out on the Agricultural part of the Goan economy.. beside spices, Goa has alot of Cashew and Betal but farming, which are considered as cash crops and it's back bone of many families.. recently other Agricultural practices too are booming in Goa with Govt support..

you are absolutely right about toruism. People are looting the foreigners. Even the government is charging high from foreign tourists for entry tickets at parks and other tourists spots. Taxi people, local street vendors etc will also double the price if they saw a foreign tourists.

its a great state which has made tremendous progress. India's first textile factory was setup in Madras (now Chennai) under order passed by Shah Jahan. It was established by east india company. Would love to hear more on Tamil Nadu by Akshat !

Then came Vijay Mallya who crushed the local breweries business. In the early 80s, there were several excellent brands of homemade wines and beers. All those were wiped out by Kingfisher Industries. One such local beer was Arlem beer.

Thanks, but Goa is known to me inside out since the early 80s, when there was no Konkan Railway, no connectivity. I pray and hope that the tech companies NEVER find their way to Goa. The locals will see to it that it never happens. Let it be as it is or the techies will ruin it like they ruined Bangalore

Iron pronounced as Iorn (eye-urn) This part of the western ghats has been marked as ecologically sensitive. Heavy mining of this mountain region will impact weather especially rainfall patterns across India as it is one of monsoon entry points to the country..

Being a goan, I know for a fact that mining was the largest contributor to the GDP up until 2012. Post that, mining (largely Iron and maganese ores) has barely contributed towards the state GDP (due to the mining ban).

Great video Akshat. By no means goa is a rich state but goans are generally very content with whatever they have. I honestly think that the GDP does not reflect the exact richness of this state. I think the people are just lucky and content with good weather, peaceful surroundings, happy gobkucky attitude. Fish, curry, Rice, beer & feni. Iron ore was indeed the foundation of the economy

Sir the next video should be on DELHI I know it's already growing but on the other side I think it's loosing it's tourism part because many people are landing in delhi, but they start going to othe state right after landing through buses and taxi's, I want to do a full discussion with you about market and share market, economy any there so many things I wants to discuss with you because I want to learn as much as I can I'm 19 and I've been following you since last year.
