Soy un acerrimo admirador de PIAZZOLA y esta version de Al Dimeola me parecio fantastica...El espiritu del Maestro fue tan libre que siempre esta presente en todos los covers que se hagan y ademas permite que otros, tal como Dimeola, hagan maravillas con su obra.

Me encanta esta versión de Libertango. Como dices, no es Al sino la esencia de Astor, así lo veo yo. Al le exprime a esta pieza toda la esencia de Astor.

This tune (part of Al Di Meola concert) was performend in Marsala, Trapani, Sicily at Cinema Impero theater as a part of Marsala Doc Jazz Festival. The funny thing is that I was there. Beautiful guitarist, beautiful band and beautiful concert.

what a beautiful melody, I new a few chords in 70's, play from time to time, after that I didn't play over 30 years but now I am so in love with guitar, but now is not easy because I about one month older than Al, but any way, I am so glad to learn from guitarists like him, thanks a lot.

Tengo 63 años y soy colombiano. Desde mis años de estudiante de primaria ya lo escuchaba y en bachillerato ahorraba para comprar LONG PLAYS que solìa escuchar en mi tiempo libre. Los que amamos su MELODIA simplemente tenemos esa marca en el cerebro y no nos interesa discutir ni comparar. pasa igual que en la juventud: de todos tus amores uno solo te marca..... pero quiza a escondidas visites disfrutes de otros placeres.... asì es la vida... altos y bajos....

Well the Al DiMeola Ovation guitar is no longer made so I wonder if he is still playing Ovation. Ovations did not have a beautiful tone but it was crisp and clean making it the perfect guitar for His rapid fire playing. Unfortunately American made ovations gave way to cheap Asian ones that sounded terrible and this really hurt the brand Ovation dominated the 70s and 80s today they sell in very small numbers

Al Di Meola es un guitarrista fantástico, expresivo, modernizador, original. Cuando toca solo o acompañado, siempre impone su estilo y particularidad. Eso lo hace espontáneamente, sin querer pasar por encima de nadie. Lo he escuchado en muchas actuaciones (por internet desde luego) y en todas ellas se destaca su toque. Aquí está haciendo un tango moderno; sin embargo (creo) que si tocara uno tradicional, como "La Cumparsita", lo haría con la misma maestría y originalidad. Excelente el Maestro Di Meola.

In my opinion, Al is the BEST guitarist EVER, still to this day! Especially when he performs with Paco De Lucia, Chick Corea or John McLaughlin. They all complement each other so perfectly well! I LOVE this music! Al, you rock & still look gorgeous!!!

Al is inspirational. This is just so amazing. As everything Al touches. Just the entire movement is breathtaking and Al is doing his gonzo brilliant shit as usual. Rolling StonED literally left this guy off their "greatest guitarist list", when he should have been #1.

Al Di Meola recrea magistralmente al Maestro Astor transformando temas originales de 3 minutos en 6 minutos o 9 minutos con una belleza increíble !!! Sin haber nacido en Buenos Aires ciudadano de Buenos Aires junto con Woody Allen !!!
