Former NBA player Al Harrington didn't hold back his thoughts on the differences between Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Harrington said players weren't buddy-buddy and would go to war with each other in Jordan's era. Meanwhile he said LeBron has quote: 'dominated an era of his little bros. They all his little bros.' Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe discuss whether there is any truth to what Harrington is saying.

Facts imagine putting LeBron back then and he can hand check and so called play tougher (foul)…. Imagine putting all the superstars from this era and they can’t hurt people like back in the days, they’re way more bigger, stronger, more athletic and skilled than back then… they would absolutely destroy the league….. remember it’s way easier to adapt by just fouling and hurting people then to adapt and learn to do step back threes, half court threes, side steps, euros, one legged fadeaway, plus the level of ball handling and ball control that these guys have now…. People only think one sided when they make these arguments

Harder in Jordan's era: Hand-checking, fewer contact fouls on drives, hard fouls allowed to some extent, no load management, few/no tanking teams Harder in LeBron's era: Overall increased talent level in the NBA, faster pace, better conditioned opposition I think Jordan's era was slightly more physical but LeBron played against slightly better opposition, talent-wise (Thomas-Payton-Barkley-Malone vs Duncan-Nowitzki-Curry-Durant, it's close). In the end, it comes down to whether you value durability (4-6 in the finals) or clutch (6-0 in the finals); versatility (28 post season triple doubles and counting) or excellence (33.4 ppg in the playoffs, 9 all-defensive teams). I lean Jordan, but it is a personal preference.

Jordan sees other great player as his competition, even punched his own teammate Steve Kerr when he was owning him in practice. Meanwhile, LeFraud sees other great players as possible teammates. Tried recruiting KD then Kawhi, even when he already had AD on his team (who he also recruited, trading away his own teammates). One wants to compete, the other is soft and just wants to collect rings. Btw he also tried recruiting Steph last season but ended up getting Westbrick.

I remember at the end of the 90s there were like 20 players in the entire NBA averaging 20+ points, now it seems like there are 50+ players doing that.

I feel like the Stephan Curry's, James Harden's and Luka doncic's of NBA world( or what I like to call the p/wussy League) would have a tougher time in Jordan's era because back then they can actually play defense without worrying about a automatic 4pt or 3pt play

Honestly I’m playing harder against my best of friends or brothers than anyone. Competition is always higher when you know someone well because losing doesn’t end when the game does. You’re going to hear about it after the game from them, all week, all month, for however long until you play again and beat them lol. At least that’s how it went in my experience. So the games were always more physical and chippy the better I knew you.

I don't think it was about them hating jordan, but the competitive nature of the players were different. There's plenty of footage showing that Jordan was cool with other players and that he's had conversation with them, with friendly banter, but they also were more competitive back then. Granted the players today are more athletic but even the rules of the past have changed.

Mike and Kobe had one way of winning and that’s how worked the most that’s just the truth. Certain circumstances like Spurs era but other than that their way is the right way. Whether beef or animosity between teammates they pushed their team to the brink to win. Bron won in his own way sure but I get point of winning but looking at how those two won they didn’t need to switch multiple teams with multiple all stars or stars to win. That is not to dismiss LJ achievements
