I loved this singer! her performances of these roles still remain unchallenged, I miss her a lot as much as I miss crindoro's channel

@drogeriemusic You got it! It's the effect after all! Marijana (retired, sadly, from singing for about a year now) was a fearless singer and it came through in her singing and vocal acting. Not everyone's cup of tea, but a contralto loud and proud! I hope she decides to get back into vocal shape and returns, once she's had some time off to raise her child and enjoy a different pace than touring and rehearsing and performing.

Handel would have let Senensino, his 'number one man', give this aria some 'welly', back in 1724. The breath control required is staggering. I loved it. Thank you. NimrodJohn2009

Hi drogeriemusic. Just so you know, the aria is in B-flat, so her low note is actually F3, which is the accepted bottom range of a contralto. Due to the lower Baroque pitch (A416 versus A440) it sounds like she's singing an E. Like Nathalie Stutzmann and Eva Podles, this singer is not afraid of singing really low and on a woman's voice, it's very exciting!

I normally love Ms. Mijanovic, but I believe this speed is a wee-bit...a good bit...too fast for her to handle (no pun intended). The second major section of coloratura is almost completely blurred with a high inaccuracy in notes. And the orchestra, whilst splendid, needs to not cover the cover so much.
