Finally, I got it - Thanks. The light bulb, for me, turned on when you mentioned a masdar can be replaced by 'something' (and still make senae).

This lesson is great! I knew nothing about the masdar and now I know! I hade seen this form and wondered about it. The last example though, that was cut off - reading is good?

sister, alhamdullilah , I understood you lesson fully. Could you kindly do a lesson on huroof al-mushabhatuk fa'al ( ie. when certain nouns (the doer, the object or adjectives) acts like verb ? the term used was shibul al-fa'al , jazk Kamil, London

Appreciate help on the foll: Is Masdar Mimi Simaie or Qiasi? If Qiasi .. can we create Masdar Mimi for all Wazan (Thulatsy Mujarrad/Mazid) and use as Regular Masdar?

Sister, in the sentence "In my mother's opinion, studying Arabic is important." 'is' is a main verb and Not a helping verb. 'Is' has been used as a finite/main verb. A verb is the most important part of a sentence and there can be no sentence without a verb. And yes, you're right 'studying' is a gerund.

Masdar does not express an action , it’s not a verb . It’s a noun. I hope I heped

Hi sister, You did not consider the case "I want to help the school/ my neighbour. What happens in this case? Al masdar or conjugation?

Nikhil Maheshwari , eslamualaikum sister, do you want me to put the case ending ? If so , أنا أحبُ مساعدةَ جاري، helping needs a fatha because it’s an object . I don’t know if I am answering to your question, please let me know!

Learn Arabic With Abbassia sister what you explained I understood very well and praise you for the same. My point is if instead of I like helping, I want to say I want to help the school. Then I use all masdar or I conjugate the verb. I am brother not sister ,,,,☺️ Thanks

Nikhil Maheshwari you have two options in this situations, either using al masdar or conjugating the verb to help أريدُ مساعدةَ جاري

Madam your example plz 1. I am helping my son.... It is correct and HELPING can be used as a verb. No problem and it's is both grammatical and acceptable. 2. In your other example.... is.... is a verb. All grammarians will call IS a verb in your given sentence. None disagrees with one another. Good wishes
