If the state troopers & security really wanted to stop that goalposts from coming down, they would have stopped it! If you watch when the kick is good, there is a guy standing right at the goalpost and takes that padding off as soon as he sees the kick is good! It was planned! Lolz This was one of the most awesome sights I have seen in a while And I'm even happier that my son was there and able to be part of the celebration. He was 11 in 2006!

Happened before several times. Also if you noticed Security didn’t worry initially about goalposts. Their primary concern at first was getting the Alabama players & coaches safely off the field. They did that & then turned their attention to the goalposts.
