The first time I heard this song I was one of our first dates with my husband. Gave me chills. We danced in the living room while his friends were yelling and shouting from the bonfire...its a great memory since we've now gotten divorced. I'll always think of him with kindness especially when I hear this masterpiece. Always, Archie...your Edith.

This song will always mean the world to me. Jan 15th my husband and I celebrated 18 years of being together. We started dating when i was 14 and him 15 years old and we haven't left eachothers side. This year will also be our 10 year wedding anniversary and of course "like red on a rose" was our "first dance" song. This song means the world to me, its so beautiful.

This is an amazing song. My daughter was riding home from out of town on grandparents day and looked at the sky and said happy grandparents day to my mother and father. And this song came on the radio and started turning the volume up by itself. Awesome song.

My mom passed away in feb of 09 ,Her name was ROSALIE she brought my heart and soul to country music ,this is just one of the many things i hold deep in my heart. One of her / my favorites was Allen Jackson . It's been almost 40 yrs since I last danced with a man I loved so deeply and passionately, but I can still feel his touch and loving arms around me. I miss him so. Not saying that the other albums don't stack up, but this one is a successful stretch that he took and it has this crazy great bluesy and jazz feel to it. Alison Krauss did an amazing job on his vocal mike and the band was spot on, on every note. It's great when a legend takes chances and nails it.
