Probably my next painting will be a full length subject in dynamic background. Now i m focusing on street photography and i m searching a perfect shoot for me and be going to make a big painting with that...but i think it won't be possible do a live, because i need 6-8 hours for a portrait and i work on it for 3/4 days

Perfect. Where did you learn to do this? It's so far above what other artists are doing with airbrush. Well done.
@vairbrushdesign

I learnt a lot by self-taught. Unfortunately at the mid school my teacher said i wasn't good at drawing, so when i was 16 started drawing realistic portraits with pencils 😂...7 years later i bought my first airbrush, and i m actually study. It s not so difficult, i saw many video and photos and i tried to focus on the technique and find my way to re-do what i saw. Maybe my technique it s wrong, and i m sure there are many other ways to do this better and faster, but this is my way and i like it. You said "it s far above what other artists are doing with airbrush"...these are the best words i ever been told..thank you so much, it s mean a lot for me

Great and fantastic work. First second I thought it was Donald Sutherland :-) I feel like giving it a try myself. Can you please help with information. I see one of the electric erasers with very pointed tip. How do you make that? Also how is Holbein regarding tip dry? Wich thinning medium used? Lastly I see a 'custom' crown cap used?
@vairbrushdesign
@vairbrushdesign Жыл бұрын
You can sharpen the eraser with a piece of sanding paper (like p180/240), and in two seconds i ll have a pointed tip. Holbein colors are water base inks and i don t have many dry tip problems...the only problematic colour is the white. I reduced them with distilled/demineralised water without medium.. sometimes i add some drops of colorless, but usually i prefer more thin colors and low pressure. Yes i use a custom crown cap and it calls "black devil", you can find it at Foxy Studio web shop.

Excellent work . Where can i get the mask that enables the pores to be sprayed on?
@vairbrushdesign
@vairbrushdesign Жыл бұрын
I use the Artool FX texture 2. I live in Italy and i purchase all materials at Foxy Studio (based in Spain), but if you live in USA i m sure you have a lots of shops where you can find this stencils. Hammer Air Stencils are good too, i m using these now, and you can see the results in my next video

No it's a fiber glass pen...be careful with that and remove the dust that it make always with brush

I am under the impression you need to use a mask when airbrushing- is that not true? Just curious. I'm looking to get into the art, but want to use the right precautions.
@vairbrushdesign
@vairbrushdesign Жыл бұрын
Yes i use two tipes of masks, they are "freehand mask" and i use one tipe for example for the nostrils, eyes and mouth contour. The other one is for organic texture and i use it to make the base for the skin texture. By the way the other 90% of the work is done without any mask. You always have to be curious 😁

Do you mean using a mask for breathing safety? If so, then the use of a mask is dependent on the type of medium being sprayed...and the location. Water based inks don't pose much hazard, where others (like acrylics) DO have a solvent compound in them. With good ventilation or something like a down draft table (where the air is pulled away from the art piece) a mask isn't strictly required. In other types of painting - like automotive - a mask is absolutely required due to A) the sheer volume of aerosolized paint near the painter, and B) urethane and lacquer paints use (potentially harmful) VOCs as solvents. Since that type (automotive) of painting is usually done in a booth or other enclosed space, both exhaust fans through a filter, AND a good carbon filter mask should be used.

@@paulreynolds9003 i really appreciate this kind of comments. Unfortunately in Italy this art is not considered, and people don't wanna pay for this...for the same reason i m not airbrushing anymore. I m looking for move myself in another country, where i could work with this

@@vairbrushdesign We don’t have good weather like Italy and it’s such a beautiful country. Going back to the scooter thing there is a lot of older people who pay good money for custom art work. Look on KZfaq you will find a lot of examples of what I mean. But like anything you would have to build a name for yourself. Your still young and life is an adventure.
