I hope fans will remember how sweet and wry he was in person, unlike the characters he was played on screen and stage. R.I.P Alan Rickman. I hope you get all the posthumous awards in 2016.

I remember when I was 14 years old and I saw the Philosopher's Stone for the very first time, I instantly started crushing so hard on Snape. Alan portrayed the character so well. I will always love Alan. He is truly missed so much everyday, always

It's the end of 2021 and I still miss this man. What a great and lovely human being he was. His acting was sublime and versatile. He is missing. There is no one of his caliber.

Alan Rickman never won an Oscar, but he did win the love of millions of people for his Snape role. I hope he appreciated it and realized this means so much more than a silly statue given by a bunch of snobs according to their affiliations an political (correctness) ideas.

He always said, roles win Oscars, not actors. And he was always there for the fans. After every show in the theatre and before every film premiere he signed autographs and chatted with the audience waiting outside the stage door. He was known as a very humble, nice and kind man who liked to laugh and cheer fans up. But he had a very strict habit of dealing with persons who were impolite. He saved his privacy but I think, that was his right.

Going to miss seeing him like this one the red carpet being so charming and insightful. We lost a great but humble man and wonderful actor this past week. Our lives have been enriched by watching him and listening to his words of wisdom.

Alan Rickman died in january at the age of 69. so sad. I still haven't gotten over it. I have a compulsive need to read and watch the harry potter series now.

this is like his internet funeral. I bet he would be proud of us for being so sad over this tragedy. he was so much more than an actor, playing a part. only Alan Rickman could've played snape. no one else could've. no one.😥💔😩😟

And no one better ever try! Alan even said in an interview, that when he puts those black clothes on, and the black lenses and wig, something happens,to him. He's not the same, there's a change in him. That's because he BECAME Snape, not played him . He gave Snape flesh and blood and soul, that's why Alan and Snape will never be forgotten

So much to love about this interview. But I’ll mention something that isn’t in all the comments already: I think it was so sweet for him to praise the Potter Puppet Pals the way he did. That was extremely nice of him and just warms my heart that he could see the beauty in something that was created as a “parody” of sorts. Thanks for everything Alan.

I just realized. It looks like he got this award BEFORE the viewing of DH 2. The interviewer mentions the last film. If so, he won hands down, before anyone saw his death scene and memories! That's really saying something!
