Better turning going forward or back. Smoother ride since the teeter totter effect is removed by moving the contact point from the bumper forward to the rear axle. Also should increase weight capacity I would think. As a safety factor, theoretically, in case of a trailer wheel blow out, since the contact point is above the axle, the force of the blown wheel, won't throw the rear of the truck as much. Theoretically. And as they have it set up, more storage possibilities. Not afiliated with them, just had a similar idea.

How does it increase the length? It’s still the same distance behind the truck

Thank you for watching the Goose Neck Adapter video. This Adapter Hitch is not for everyone. When hooked up to your truck, this hitch will add about 18" to your overall truck and trailer length. You are correct about the extra weight. If your truck can handle it pin weight, the Goose Neck style hitch will offset issue.
