In this video, I call out all strongmen, Jujimufu, Joey Szatmary, Brian Alrsruhe, and Nicolai (intoxicated26). I weigh my 1,000 lbs tire and end up calling myself out.

I don't recall Juji being a tire flipping expert or claiming to be. What's the deal? If Juji were to do this, I'd make sure the tire size and weight were as close to Alan's as possible. Tire height would be a big factor even if they weigh the same.

A few problems..... getting the concrete to equally disperse.... the concrete would start breaking very quickly. One solution I found was to put 8 x 3/4" carriage bolts in, and add evenly distributed weight plates on the inside. My 330lb tire is now a 700lb tire as a result, and can be adjusted to variable weights. the grade 8 bolts have held up nicely for 2 years.

I think on one of Juji and Tom's vids a while back they said they'd reached out to Alan multiple times but he just refused the collab. I like to think the reason is purely logistical and to do with time scales rather than anything else. Alan's humour seems very similar to Juji's in many ways with the skits and the 'anti-industry' vibe. Juji's strongman game seems to be improving too so could be a perfect time for a collab if their schedule permits. I very much enjoy both channels, hence why I'm here really.
@ntomnia585
@ntomnia585 6 жыл бұрын
I recall the same, in one video Juji mentions that Alan "..is cool as shit". He invited him, "my dime, your time". In the comments section of a later Juji video, responding to a fan inquiry, Juji mentioned that Alan responded in a "short" manner and wasn't interested. I didn't get the feeling that Alan likes Juji for some reason.

well, they could potentially. Larger hole in relation to the amount of rubber and density of the rubber play a role. A smaller tractor tire with much thicker walls will weigh similar or more than a thinner walled larger tire. Also dimensions of the tire affect the perceived weight, a larger diameter tire with a narrow width will feel much heavier than an equal weight tire that is as wide as it's diameter.

As long as we're getting into thw science of things I'm calling B.S. on the accuracy of a truck weigh in station. I mean how accurate can a scale that weighs 10s of thousands of pounds actually be
@stevenmuncy491
@stevenmuncy491 5 жыл бұрын
Pretty accurate. Commercial scale accuracy is in someone's interest as they are used to buy and sell materials and goods. They must be inspected and certified every year, typically by the state's Department of Agriculture. In the US the standard is +/- 2%. Many scales are accurate within half that. Keeping the scales clean of mud, debris, etc. is likely the biggest cause of error.
@leonestello8519
@leonestello8519 5 жыл бұрын
@@stevenmuncy491 A commerce scale at a shipping receiving hub as opposed to what they used, a truck weigh in scale. Pretty sure the government isn't as up on the 2%+/- accuracy as a business would be. I'm just not buying it for accuracy on something that is calibrated to weigh things upwards to 80,000 lbs. (I even wonder about placement on the scale. Any scale I've ever used gave different readings when said object was near or on the edge)
