Great interview. Congrats on retirement Dathan. Was inspiring to watch these by all time greats over the years.

These 3 athletes were the beginning of a wave of competition that American distance running into the next century

I do the majority of my running on the UW-Parkside cross country course and about every time I'm out there I think about how impossible it seems that a high school Dathan Ritzenhein ran the 5k course in 14:35. Still a course record to this day.

Thank you guys for getting together. I followed Alan (I’m 60) his whole career and rooted for him all the way. Even read his book sub 4. Fan of all 3. God bless you all.

Loved the conversation with these three legends! They still continue to inspire even though they've all retired.

Wow, you guys really did split the times. In 2005 Webb went 8:11 and Ritz went 8:23. In 2007, Ritz went 8:11 and Webb went 8:23!
