Very compact motorhome, thin and short! : Challenger S194

The Challenger S194 is a very compact motorhome measuring only six metres and a wonderful 210cm in width. It also has four sitting places, sleeping for two - with an option of an extra bed for one and is based on the Ford Transit. Therefore the Challenger S194 gets my seal of approval.

Enjoyed watching this video..loved the first one.. If the RV has water in the tanks could you please turn on the shower it would be great to see the pressure.. And really showcase the fridges as well especially if they run on gas and or battery power... Thanks heaps !! It's mother's day where I am so hopefully everyone else enjoyed it !!

They never put water in the tanks Phillip at exhibitions! However the stronger the pressure, the quicker the water runs out. I have the weakest pressure possible in mine!

Is there a model like this with a rear lounge and drop down bed?

Not with a rear lounge Ramona - that would be difficult for an engineering point of view as the roof would need to be higher in my opinion to allow for the bed.

Is there no hanging space at all in the first camper? Or was there a thin closet between the bed and the wet room?

According to Challenger, that funny thing to the right of the door is the wardrobe. It does not look like one to me. I suppose one could put a bar on the wall above it.

Alan I think it's the same as the Chausson S514. I believe the gaps around the mattresses are there to allow the circulation of air to prevent condensation & ultimately the formation of mould.

Without the gaps around the matress Tim, there are big problems! I am now using a mattress support which is a bit like underlay in my van. Apart from that, you won the competition - it is S514 in Chausson!

Thank you for the video, loved these smaller ones. I have two comments/requests for you, if I may: If I were to get the first one with the garage, first thing I would check is whether there is an electric outlet in there so I can put a second refrigerator in the garage. Could you please in future, either comment on it, whether or not you see an outlet in the garage, or swing the camera so we can see for ourselves. Second is, these have a bed situation large enough for two people, but if there is a third person, would be nice to comment, whether or not, the walkway is wide and long enough for a thrid person to lay a mat and sleep on it, and also, if additional seats are belted for a third party traveling with you. There is always a third person that can join the trip and knowing these would be very helpful, specially when the motorhome is basically a two berth van.

I always point out electrical connections in the garage if they are there but pulling in an electrical point is not a difficult task - more difficult would be ensuring a supply of current to it. The bed has a width of 130cm so it might be OK for two people. As an option, the table here can be turned into a bed too, however I always suggest a mat and sleeping on the floor!

@@VanlifewithAlan Thank You Alan. On my last trip on a rental RV, there were three of us, it was a two berth and I figured I can just sleep on the floor, but, it did not quite work out as I planned it, really tight space. In videos the walk way usually seems wide enough until you actually try it :)
