I went on quite a journey. The disappointment of thinking she can no longer hit the high notes after first chorus, the thrill that she totally can after the second chorus, then the perfection that was the bridge making me feel awful for ever doubting her

That reminds me of her role as God in Dogma. She didn’t speak and the other character acted as “the voice of god” because God’s voice was too powerful for people to withstand it. “Were you to hear it, your mind would cave in and your heart would explode within your chest.” When she showed up as God, I lost it.

@@catgirl6803 I have never seen that movie ~~ but I did have a NDE some years ago (Near Death Experience) As in *I died* Yes, as in stone cold, not breathing, gone, kaput.... dead (as a door nail......lol) *GOD IS LOVE* So very Vast and Eternal that even those words can not even begin describe the *PURE LOVE* that God truly *IS* The. Words. Do. Not. Exist. I *DO* know why Jesus/Yeshua tells those Pharisee leaders that they err in not knowing Scripture nor the Power of God. God is the God of Abraham, He is the God of Isaac, and He is the God of Jacob. He is the God of the *LIVING* and NOT of the "dead"........ ..........Uhhhhhhh..... please read that very carefully and pay special attention to the NAMES that are on that list.... cuz where God *IS* ~~~ *IS* the Land of the *LIVING* , and as I am certainly testifying to you here today that "over yonder" makes THIS place/dimension in which we CURRENTLY dwell look like a cold *DEAD* illusion..... and I absolutely, positively did NOT want to come back "here" .... EVERRR (My life SINCE that NDE reads like a strange supernatural work of pure fiction, but I digress....) I would like to mention these few things that I experienced: *all* the "communication" there is telepathic (language and words are even too cumbersome), but the very distinctive "voice" of God was Majestic but Fatherly ~~ stern but loving (the reason I know this is because just like a child, I begged, cried, and pleaded to *stay* !!!) There has not been a day that has gone by that I do not think of this experience. It completely changed my life! Honestly, many times I weep even when I recall it. I felt my soul would shatter into oblivion from His *PURE* Love and Holiness....... As I stated..... there are just no adequate words........ Bless you Pamela, and thank you for your time in reading my response. *Much LOVE* indeed ~~~ kzfaq.info/get/bejne/j9Ciq6uis9-Zc4U.html *Finding The Mountain of Moses: The REAL Mount Sinai* I could say way more.... but will leave it at that for the moment.....

@ChristalBeerman3 жыл бұрын
@Daniel Garrett Approx 30% of antibiotic prescriptions are unnecessary. They are often prescribed for infections that antibiotics don't respond to. Unnecessary prescriptions place the patient at risk of more serious illness and lead to antibiotic resistance. Meaning, if we continue to overuse antibiotics they will no longer be effective because bacteria will be resistant to them. "Antibiotics are lifesaving drugs, and if we continue down the road of inappropriate use we’ll lose the most powerful tool we have to fight life-threatening infections. CDC researchers found that most of these unnecessary antibiotics are prescribed for respiratory conditions caused by viruses - including common colds, viral sore throats, bronchitis, and sinus and ear infections - which do not respond to antibiotics. These 47 million excess prescriptions each year put patients at needless risk for allergic reactions or the sometimes deadly diarrhea, Clostridium difficile." "Antibiotic resistance is one of the biggest threats to global health, food security, and development today. Antibiotic resistance occurs naturally, but misuse of antibiotics in humans and animals is accelerating the process. Bacteria, not humans or animals, become antibiotic-resistant. These bacteria may infect humans and animals, and the infections they cause are harder to treat than those caused by non-resistant bacteria. Antibiotic resistance leads to higher medical costs, prolonged hospital stays, and increased mortality. The world urgently needs to change the way it prescribes and uses antibiotics. Even if new medicines are developed, without behaviour change, antibiotic resistance will remain a major threat. Behaviour changes must also include actions to reduce the spread of infections through vaccination, hand washing, practising safer sex, and good food hygiene." www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2016/p0503-unnecessary-prescriptions.html www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/antibiotic-resistance#:~:text=Antibiotic%20resistance%20occurs%20when%20bacteria,caused%20by%20non%2Dresistant%20bacteria.

I was a depressed and sad teen when Jagget Little Pill won the world. I literally lived in that album for a while. Still my favorite female singer.
I had a pleasure and honor to see Alanis live in late June on her Jagged Little Pill 25th anniversary tour. She was fantastic. So many memories came to life during that concert. Yes, she is a legend.

She'dnhave more clarity of she was physically I better shape. You'll no doubt bust a blood vessel over this comment but, alas, it's true. Overweight Axl compared to fit and in better shape Axl is a prime example of the difference it makes. Love Alamos but love her voice too. She's still incredible but something's not 100%, sadly.

I went backpacking aged 33. The line "the more I let go of it, was the moment I got more than I could handle, the moment I jumped off of it, was the moment I touched down". I met my wife on that trip. It changed everything. This song lived in me before, during and after that life-changing trip. Thank you Alanis.

I was like.... 7???? When she first got big. My mom LOVED her. I know soo many songs of hers cuz of my mom. She passed in 08 when i was 20 and she was 42. That was in September and in November we made a bunch of extra meals and went down and fed the homeless and the whole time driving we were listening to Atlantis in memory of mom and anytime I hear her now it still gets me super choked up. Not much gets me choked up not even my mom being gone but some of the music that she listened to really really gets me still 13 years later. Crazy how young Alanis was when she first came out.
