As someone who was there in that crowd and a teenager in 1999 - who sought out her band for its music, I so love that this recording still exists and thrives. It was so hot. So un-steady. So volatile that weekend. Alanis just roared out and nailed her set. Honestly, it felt like the last beauty before the descent. Thank you Alanis & band.

Absolutely, it's an entirely authentic experience, allowing the music, her inner self, her journey to that point, and the present emotions to simply flow through a physical expression without challenge or deference to embarrassment or second-guessing. At risk of sounding clichéd, she's found her true self.

I greatly admire how Alanis achieved her great success without any exploitation of her sexuality. She is tremendously gifted as a singer and songwriter, as well as an intelligent and sensitive human being. Besides her signature songs like "You Oughta Know" and "Hand in My Pocket", I love the power and intensity of songs like "Joining You" and "Sympathetic Character", as well as the tenderness of songs like "That I Would Be Good". She is a very special and important artist.

As a proud Canadian man, I must say that Alanis is a pure product of our country. Her brilliance in songwriting and performing those songs is tantamount to only Joni Mitchell and that Jewish guy from Montreal, his name escapes me at the moment. Mind you, Barenaked ladies came close as well. I put Alanis up with the rock gods. Led Zeppelin and Queen. And it wonderful to know we lived in the same city (Ottawa) at the same time. Alanis, you are one of the best.

This is completely true. I've watched other concerts of hers' during which she had to address the audience and she's uneasy, even bashful. Just from talking to the audience - but then the music kicks in, and a switch flips, and she just crushes it like this. It really does often seem as if she's just a vessel of sorts for this otherworldly gift. Like, it's so powerful, she doesn't even know what to do with it. Someone like her... these prodigies come along maybe every twenty years or so and reinvent any given field. Van Gogh in painting; Twain in writing; The Beatles then Kurt Cobain in music; LeBron right now in sport. So and so on forth... enjoy it.

I remember back in the late 90's, I had a walkman with me, music was my best friend and I always carried tapes with me, and Jagged Little Pill was the only casette tape I played from beginning to end without skipping a track. I would even wait for the last acapella track "Your House". I guess I related to the anger and the meaning behind each song.

26 years ago I fell head over feet for this icon and last night saw her perform her ass off the same way she did at this epic show. I was so worried my expectations weren’t going to be met bc she set the bar so high but she exceeded every one of em. Vocals, obviously. But the dancing and spinning on stage that i cannot get enough of and the emotion and involuntary movements when she sings oh my gosh, alanis, I love you girl!!! Thank you! 🤘🏾💚

I love Alanis Morissette so much! I've learned so much spiritually because of her. I'm 23, so I was only 2 when this happened. I wish I could've been there. I first heard her playing on the radio when I was 11 and I've been hooked ever since. I know all her songs; I have all her albums. She is my favorite artist. (: I saw her live in NYC at Apollo theater December of 2019. She was playing JLP album in acoustic. Her voice is so gorgeous live..like holy sh*t. I was sitting left of center right in front of the stage.

The album much of this came from, "Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie", contained mostly non-commercial songs all about her therapy experiences. The music is totally challenging and brilliant. So many exotic sounds. It was a total middle finger to the industry. She is a totally amazing live performer. Great band too. "Slap me with a splintered ruler".

I was there about 100 feet away. The sky was filled with bottles falling all around. Her voice was like an Angel. So letter perfect with her never staying in one spot on stage for a second. I had chills on my back , when she sang my favorite song from her. Uninvited was superbly played by her band. So, saddened to see her leave the East Stage. Later on the same stage was L B, was booed off stage. Rage against the machine was great ,too. Follow by a tried Metallica set. After all they were still playing after 5 years releasing the Black Album. ( I would be tried ,too) please note. I had to back up in the crowd to 500 feet for the RATM set and 500yds for Metallica set. Because, I didn't like the people around me and I was alone in a body of water during their set and I couldn't hear them anyway. But, for the one hour , AM was my Queen . And no one has taken her place in my heart. Love Live Queen AM !!! Your performance is best ever by a female. Funny , how I can see myself in the crowd , every time the camera is pointed where I was during her set Peace
