I would be deathly afraid anywhere near this thing. I have a huge respect for my 5" racing drones, but those choppers are a whole different level of hurt. Huge respect on the control and precision. I don't understand quite how you do the 90 degree vertical and horizontal maneuvers.

Its due to the fact that the blades can rotate individually as they spin around. Meaning each one can tilt forward and back while also all spinning around together.

"3D" is just the term we use to refer to flying a heli with reckless abandon like this. :) It requires orders of magnitude more skill that simply being able to hover nose in or fly around in fast forward flight. TL;DR: Yes. :P

Nice flying Alan, been a fan ever since. So many 3D pilots out there, but for me it's all about good maneuvers and transitions and you have those. I have a Trex 450L that I flip, roll and invert every now and then but that's about it. It would be an honor to have a canopy for my HELI with your autograph on it. You're the best, and your Dad raised you to be a very good Rc pilot.

Wow dude, I'm not going to doubt any of what I have just seen. I am 73 and have excelled In everything I have done. I have no. Idea how you manage age to have such control over that chopper. The main thing that I can't understand is how you can change the direction of the main propeller to inable it to fly upside down like you do. I feel that you are one of a kind. That is why you spend 100:s of hours in a pc simpeogram with your radio hooked up to it and practise like a maniac.... They are extremely good and you'll save hundreds if not thousands of dollars in nomore crash issues. Phoenix flightsim is a heck of a nice sim, and connects with most excisting radios out there. Hundreds of choppers n planes to choose from and many different "tracks/fields" to choose. Also you can set many different weathers and windspeeds. I can highly recomend it👍

The beauty of the 800 is you can run it stock on 10s using 2x 5s 8000mah packs and still get plenty of power for hard 3D but for 6 minutes as opposed to 4 minutes! P.S. I love how people think these videos are fake! 🤣

Two things can spare a person from having to go through multiple helicopters learning to fly like that. 1. Simulator. 2. Blade Nano CPS. On a simulator, you hit the reset button when you crash. On a Blade Nano CPS, you get to practice with the most durable micro heli on the market, crashing hundreds of times with little to no damage - and with parts under $10.

Gyroscopic effects of main rotor. Try this: take a 3.5” pc hard disk, power it up and grab it with your hand. Now move around the hard disk and feel the counter intuitive gyroscopic force effects. Let me know...

It never stays anywhere, it's throwing itself around so fast it can keep up while barely blowing any air down, if it's pulling 10G's, it only needs to blow 1/10 of that down ways to stay up

The pitch of the blades can be changed. Top half of the throttle stick gives you positive pitch and the bottom half is negative pitch which lets you fly upside down
