She was a daughter of president, a Commander-in-chief. Refer back to her recollection on war and going to school; in addition she was a wife of a military man, do you expect all those ups and downs, threats and trainings they undergo are in vain in shaping their character and personality!

Polite & gentlemanly yes but not an OBJECTIVE journalist keen on getting to the bottom of reasons behind events his questions threw light on. He sounds more like an appeaser. I am not saying that he should've made Ms. Hussein uncomfortable or coerce her into explaining the decision father made (good or bad) but the least he could have done was find out EXACTLY the reason why Hussein Kamel made the fatal decision to defect to Jordan (a subject they talked about). This woman is a witness to events and most likely knows the EXACT reasons behind those decisions which affected the middle east for decades to come and the post cold war world. The journalist brilliantly wasted this once in a 50 years interview by not pressing a little harder. He could have uncovered much more without making her uncomfortable. Please note that Miss. Hussein doesn't live in a free country. She may not speak again. But it is a pleasant interview, just not very informative. I hope she writes a book which the Jordanians don't censor.

@@sohaibshehzad2052 I appreciate your comment.I just sent a positive thought about the interviewer's fairness however this entrancing lady did actually talk over several events without saying that much.Honestly could we expect her being more exhaustive ? I don't guess so,let apart the whole conversation was surely previously agreed upon.An enthralling footage though.

@@INDIGOBLUE555 Thank you. But ironically Ms. Hussein didn't mention the devious set of roles played by Saudi Arabia & Kuwait in the sanctions regime on Iraq & eventually hosting the invasion for that toppled her father. In fact she didn't even mention America but was very comfortable in mentioning Iran which for its own selfish reasons saved Iraq from the clutches of ISIS & Turkey. P.S. I am not Iranian.

The husband of her kids was a high ranking general in the Iraqi army, and he defected to an enemy state, with classified intel. He then actively worked with Iraqs enemies against Iraq. He was a treasonous POS who betrayed both his family and country. Saddam, as head of state, who has a responsibility to his country and people, chose to execute that criminal. I would think less of Saddam and his daughter if they didn't kill him.

Chemical Ali in one incident even ordered killing of women and children and burying many alive, he was even worse than saddam. Chemical Ali has the curse of thousands of his victims and now he is dead being punished severely!! By the way Saddams regime was Baathist Nationalist ideology and he thought like Stalin and he imprisoned and killed even Sunni Islamic people out of suspicion...so bloodthirsty this regime to stay in power was that even father didn't talk to their son about the regime for fear that his son might be a spy for government. The same goes to the Assad Baathist regime in Syria, they are worse than Americans and even Israelis when it comes to killing civilians...these are enemies of Muskim ummah we should get rid of first before confronting external enemies. @@tree3y763 Saddam was the dumbest arab leader in the modern history. His foreign policies were dubious, he made enemies with pretty much all his neighbors, even the neutral country of lebanon by arming the separatists christian militias and other anti government and anti syria militias during the lebanese civil war. And as a result of the constant war state that Saddam put his country into, iraq quickly plunged into poverty and fell behind on development. Coupled with the sanctions, iraqis were LITERALLY starving. As for his internal policies, he ruled iraq with an iron grip, abusing his powers to suppress all the other factions such as the kurds, the shia, the communists, the arab baathists, the tribes… he turned iraq into a police state, hence the high levels of corruption and the incompetency of the iraqi institutions and the iraqi army. Now i dunno about you, but saddam sounds like an awful leader. Yet this here woman believes that her father was a good leader. And there’s only one explanation for that, she’s living in an alternative universe, the one she was describing in this interview.
