As a way to celebrate the one year anniversary since our travels in Alaska, I’m happy to present our first ever feature length movie Alaska - Promises Fulfilled. Back in early September 2022, my mother (camp chef mom) and I took on a two week expedition to The Last Frontier where we explored the vast and incredible Alaskan landscapes from the Kenai Peninsula to Atigun Pass. We experienced all weather elements from snow, sun, and rain and witnessed wildlife never seen before in person. I invite you to ride along in commemorating our adventure while also hoping to provide inspiration to explore Alaska in your own future travels.
A big thank you to Craig and Brook from Alaska Overlander in helping provide two turn key vehicles making our time in Alaska all the more easier with their exceptional service and dedication in ensuring everyone has a positive experience when visiting. Be sure to check out Alaska Overlander should your next trip take you to far north country!

All my life I have wanted to go to Alaska. Since I am now 71, I don't think I will make it there, but through people like you I get to experience the beauty of it. I wish your Dad had gotten to go, but I am sure he was there in spirit. God bless. 💜

Its never too late, going to the greatest state in America, doesn't have an expiration date. Take a cruise, some are as short as 5 days out of Seattle, the Alaska marine Hwy is cheap and makes many stops. You CAN do it!!

Spent my 44 years fishing and camping with my father. On June 20th this year I lost him unexpectedly. My parents finally made it to Alaska on a trip they never thought would come but it did. This video from start to finish not only made me emotional but allowed me to speak to him. I can truly say I know the pain you feel but I only hope to have the joy of going to a place his heart was in. Thank you for this!

Thank you so much for sharing. My condolences about your father, loss is something that is never easy nor something you can mentally or emotionally prepare for. I'm happy both your parents were able to experience Alaska together. Something about that place brings a new perspective on life no matter the circumstances. This trip was for all the right reasons and one that my mom and I will never forget. I truly appreciate your support and for watching, thank you!

Thank you making this movie of a journey to touch what your dad wanted to see...your dad was with you, and your mom was in heaven, as she had such a calm in the mountains with you. You did a marvelous job in editing from your drone, and all your filming into a beautiful movie of where I live in Alaska. I live northwest west of Tok near Tanacross, ner the foothills of Mount Neuberger, a mile high mountain with my german shepherd in a 2 story log home. The colors of fall is my favorite time of year, and you capture the exact reason why I live here. Thank you for sharing your movie here on youtube, for there are those who cannot come here because of health or other reasons. But for those who can make it here, may God Bless you for this is His land, the land of beauty and serenity of your sole, so come up here and witness the incredible life of nature t its best!

The beauty of alaska is awesome. I used to love to walk the trails of state parks but with a very bad knee i am limited on what i can do but you inspred me to try something different. Life is too short not to enjoy it. Thank you for sharing and i am sure you dad watched you the whole entire time. Your mom is an angel herself. She never left fear of trying something new keep her from experiencing the beauty. God bless you and your mom and thank you again.

Thank you for showing us your nightly routine of downloading what you’ve shot, across camera, drone, tablet, cellphone and such, some picture editing, organizing from all devices-by device and day into a file, on your computer, and backup on hard drive. End of trip, back home put into editing software. With all the organizing, it makes it easier. Kudos

I lived in Alaska for over 40 years. I have walked on the glaciers, too. It is a beautiful and prestine state. My favorite place to hike was up at Hatcher Pass on Gold Mint trail towards Mint Glacier. Near where I lived outside Palmer, Alaska. Thank you for showcasing the beautiful state of Alaska.

Beautiful! Brilliant photography, love that your Mum was up for the adventure to share your family's dream❤.I think it unlikely I will make it to Alaska so I really appreciated having the 'virtual' experience. Thank you! As you guys obviously love lakes, mountains, rivers, glaciers, fjords, long coastal wildernesses and 4x4 off-road adventures, the South Island of my home country (New Zealand) have these in abundance. Taking a month off in my 4x4 camper this autumn to do a bit of adventuring myself :). Thanks again for the journey! Really, Really great 👌🙏.

great video ... I drive that road in the Denali backcountry Adventure bus when its open, back to the Denali Backcountry lodge! Im so happy you saw what you saw .. because you usually don't see much until you get into around 32 miles or so and the park road is 92miles long. I highly recommend coming back when the Bridge is finished and go the whole way! (Maybe on my bus)

What an awesome trip! I spent three years living in Fairbanks and was lucky enough to take some of these same routes. I've been gone for a little over 6 months, and this video sent me straight back. 😮 I loved the story! Craig is taking care of my truck while I'm in Japan, and I can tell you that the Alaska Overlander family is some of the greatest people you'll ever meet. Anyone looking to make a similar trip and have their own adventure should definitely check them out. It's such a great way to experience Alaska...

Thank you so much for the support! That's awesome to hear about your travels up there. Couldn't agree more about Alaska Overlander, they are truly in a class of their own and I'm so happy to have gone that route for our initial trip in the north country!

I was at a party in May 1980 when I over heard a guy say he was hitch hiking to Alaska to see his sister.it's been 44 years now, I've never been back to the lower 48 and I've never regretted it.

It was so fun watching the places you and your mom went to. My son and I were in mostly the Kenai peninsula in August, we were in Hope too. We stayed in Solditna. I loved Alaska. We were there last year for two weeksit rained every day😢. This year only one week and sunny every day. We saw more wildlife than ever! We were at anchor point too. Such an awesome place!!!!

That's so awesome to hear, right on! Alaska is truly a beautiful and wild place! We absolutely loved our time on the Kenai Peninsula, could have easily spent additional time checking out more of the area. Suppose we'll have to plan for a return visit one day! 😉
