On Alaska the Last Frontier, they used to say when firewood is gone and last of blueberries are picked, winter comes next. I always remembered that, because here in NY we get our blueberries the first part of July and then there in Alaska the Fireweed is so pretty and pink and it looks so warm and nice, kind of like here in NY. Not NYC, I live up by Lake Ontario and St. Lawrence River. We get snow, but not like Alaska.

From the magnificent mountains, to the rushing rivers teeming and thrashing with salmon, there is nothing more fascinating than following along on your family travels to sites unknown by probably most of us! What an awesome armchair adventure you are taking us on! I am enjoying every geographical, historical, and adventurous minute of it!

The road from Glenallen to Valdez was probably my favorite stretch Alaskan road when I was there earlier this summer. And I drove well over 2000 miles of Alaskan highway. Ha ha. Loved the church benches. Made me want to break out in the Lob Leid!

Alaska is so beautiful! Your shots of wildlife on land and in water bring me such joy! Wow! Wow! Wow! Your adventure on the glacier gave me a chill in the summer heat. I'm 63 years old and not in great health so I most likely won't get to visit Alaska but y'all have shown so much of it's beauty I almost feel like I'm there. Little Chloe is a sparkler for sure. I don't think you find any place in Alaska that wasn't beautiful! Love seeing you all making so many wonderful memories. That is what is great about memories, nobody can ever steal them. They can steal your home and everything you own, but they can't touch those precious, priceless memories. The huge smiles when they catch fish are PRICELESS!! Chloe reminds me so much of me when I was a little girl, always barefoot and on the go! I did everything my Dad and big brother did, preferred to be outdoors even when it was 115+ F. Mom was always yelling at me to put my shoes on. I would put them on to please her, but pulled them off and hid them as soon as I was out of her sight. Yep, I was one of those kids. Thank you for sharing your adventures and your beautiful family!
