Four hunters running out of food! Maybe they should try another sport they would be better at! Like ping pong. A bit over the top voice over and the editing at the start, jumping about every 1 to2 seconds gives me a headache! But good to see these planes doing what they do best.

Loving the scenery and the aviation. In order to keep watching, I just have to laugh at the artificial drama. There’s a part of me that believes this is completely fabricated, and that makes me sick to my stomach, so instead, I’ll just laugh at the over-the-top nature of it.

I’m liking the show fore sure . Only suggestion would be less overly dramatized situations would make the show better for me and other people experienced in aviation. There’s enough real drama in that type of flying and situations anyway

Actually the Coast Guard operates off that Island if I am not mistaken and they fly in the most incredible weather, so no they are not totally on their own.

How you can tell it's not much of a problem is the fact that especially with the takeoff from picking up the hunters how did the camera crew get the video of the plane taking off from that location unless that's video of another location before or after that shoot doesn't make sense

How about an emergency drop package to stranded hunters. Strap it to outside of plane with release rope pull inside the cockpit? Hunters within bear territory and food left at base camp? Sounds like SOP needs to be someone left at camp with gun at the ready.??

Way too much drama and reality that float plane was probably fine even if the engine does go out it does not Drop Like a Rock they have a good Glide now if it's carb issue the pilot is trained on how to figure that out easily I learned this when I went through aviation mechanic school and all that and when I was in the military there's a thing called carb heat it takes heat from the sides of the exhaust and puts that heat directly in the carburetor to thaw out any ice in the carburetor if it's carb issue and it's especially if icing due to Colder Weather turn that carb car heat on will actually make it run better or make it run worse depending on what temperature you're in and whether or not you have any issue with icing high altitude and colder climates and high humidity which is what those seaplanes are dealing with in that region and area on daily basis

I always thought if an airplane lost it's engine it would have some limited glide capabilities but according to the narrator they drop like a rock. Never knew that.

Glide ratio depends on the aircraft. A deHavilland Beaver equipped with floats is very heavy and lots of drag. Not surprising it has a low glide ratio - distance to altitude.

Why do they blur out the a/c registration? Anyone can see it ordinarily, pretty pedantic.

Hilarious!!! Hunters out of food and attacked by bears? Don't they have a weapon? Oh, my! What's the problem? This is really a big joke. I've survived alone under much worse conditions than these for days, even among polar bears in Spitzbergen, and never needed to call in any help. These guys should really stay at home.

Good lord. The owners of Island Air should be embarrassed by the drama. The hunters have their own film crew? What about Kodiak Coast Guard? I’ll take a pass on any more of this hyperbole.
