Girdwood, Alaska. Blue glaciers and an amazing 12 mile ride through the snowy forest. This was March 2024 at the end of the season, so we couldn’t get too close to the glacier caves for safety. We were essentially on a frozen lake and if a piece broke off, the entire surrounding area could collapse into the lake. Despite missing out on glacial cave photo ops, we appreciated our safety. Especially after seeing footage of a previous piece breaking off mid tour. I would advise going early in the winter if your heart is set on glacial caves. GoPro, iPhone and Drone footage.
