Sorry for late reply. I use 4 to 5 screws and find it keeps the ladder really stable. The Granberg EZ rails work well in some situations but are not as fast or as rigid as a good ladder.

careful not to tap the wedges in so far, when you do you skew or raise the angle of the ladder, you can see it raise slightly when he taps the first one in.

salve a tutti volevo sapere dal produttore del video che ho acquistato un suo mulino alaskan mkiii 36"... ho visto molti suoi video ma nn riesco a capire quando mette la scala sul tronco da tagliare, se lei usa una livella per mettere a livello la scala e poi la fissa sul legno?? gradirei una risposta.. grazie mille

Shouldn't you have made sure your guide was level before making your 1st cut?

Doesn't matter much if the log is a similar diameter from one end to another. He'll be able to make successful parallel cuts... the flatness of the ladder matters more than it being level.
