I've listened to probably every Alastor-inspired song that has popped up since the original pilot, and hands down this is my favorite, no competition. Maybe I'm biased as a metal fan but the raw emotion in your vocals is just....damn bro lol. It feels like Al is struggling with his genuine pleasure in watching others suffer while trying to ignore any negative feelings in himself. He is where he thinks he belongs, so why waste energy trying to change that, when he can have unimaginable power and fun right where he is. Even if it comes with pain he can never voice. Idk it's 4:30am and I have feelings. Also Adam wishes he were half as metal as the jazz era demon.

I'm a huge fan of Hazbin Hotel and Alastor is my favorite amongst all those demons. You could've told me that this was an actual song in the show and I'd believe it. Now onto FABVL, a good bit of songs from last year paved the way for this beautiful track and the one that stands out the most to me is "Glitch". This also feels like those early 2000s rock/pop bands like The Used, All American Rejects, Green Day, and such. This was such a nostalgic listen while being a bouncy, modern day blast!

This might be my favorite FABVL (and just song in general) ever. Every part is catchy and epic. It captures Alastor's personality perfectly. His nihilism, sadism, and even his twisted sense of humor are all observable throughout the song. Its perfect. It really is a song that makes you wan to say "f*** it, I'm gonna go have fun. We're all f***** anyway", which I'm assuming was the goal. Absolutely perfect.

The thing I love about this song, lyrically, is that it wrests away the cockiness from “Al” and hands the confidence and spook factor back to him via his behavior in the pilot. Which is what _Alastor_ desperately needs. The shift from confident and mysterious and spooky/scary to just cocky and sort of tone deaf (it gets better as the entire season progresses to where we’re at the finale and his attitude shifted to “wait I’m actually super powerful and only under some other demon’s thumb that I need to get out from under them” has made him have horror elements again, but that is only during his breakdown and I hope he maintains it as an undercurrent for season two, so we see how him being cocky and a bit of an idiot is basically yet another mask) with most of what he does coming across as annoying/him being somewhat pathetic and not this horrifying Overlord who should control all tech and stop it from going past a point because he hates anything after… probably the end of the Second World War, and enforcing it with an iron grip as the true _Radio Demon_ who should have complete control over all wireless tech and just tank Vox’s empire into “everyone is evil and redemption is stupid, and here’s why.” It makes him back to being unnerving and I miss pilot Alastor for that very reason. Love this as always. He not only “can’t be saved” he clearly doesn’t want to bed and sees it as a waste of time.
