2 жыл бұрынUnder the direction of Joahn Chamorro, the WDR BIG Band celebrates the young jazz musician Alba Esteban (vocals) with the piece "A Sleepin' Bee" (K: Harold Arlen, A: Joan Monné). Also participating in this concert are musicians of the Sant Andreu Jazz Band from Barcelona / Spain. Solos are played by Johan Hörlén (as), Andy Hunter (tb), Ben Fitzpatrick (ts), Ruud Breuls (tp) and Jens Neufang (bars). Livestream of the concert "Jazz mal anders: WDR BIG BAND & Friends" at the Kölner Philharmonie (May 2022).
The famous Sant Andreu Jazz Youth Band from Barcelona is also infected by jazz fever - the young musicians love jazz and will put on a brilliant program in their first joint concert with the WDR Big Band: Jazz is in the air!

Alba’s singing was the top, she always does a great job. But the five soloist’s that preformed were also great especially the Bari Saxophone player. Love his part. He really can play his Bari Sax. Thanks for a great performance. JP

Lovely, natural voice, Alba! Great solos from WDR, including wonderful Andy Hunter, trombone, ….. but again this leaves me thinking ‘When can we see more of the SAJB trombone talent??’ Younger or older, even ex-members!
