walking down to the new bazaar. Stop at the shop I get my daughters clothing. And walk about. Bumping into local people I know.

@@patrickoverseas I definitely will, Pete - coffee or beer sounds great :) Haha great stuff, it's always nice to support local businesses. Albanians really know how to run a business well but with fairness!

The side walk was close to non existing there in the beginning. Also the rattle of the Diesel engines is very noticeable like a rattle snake in hiding 😁 We are used to the quiet of the gasoline engines! Sure is a BIG difference how we are used to BIG sidewalks, big stores, here in TX, and in Albania is everything like mom and pop stores. 😊

Hi Tony. Love the fact that mom and pop stores and cafes are everywhere.

Does Durres have wider sidewalks and less dangerous traffic? And is there a good hospital in Durres? Would love Vlore year round even better as long as there is a good hospital and grocery shopping convenient. The capital is convenient but would prefer a smaller city. Sarande is small, I think.

will let you know. first year living here not visiting. We plan to travel to each tourist Citty in the winter to see how it is. We loved Durres . Some dont. You deside.

Durres i loved . Go south away from port. But we were only there for 2 days . The hospital people like there is Spitale alba but i never been there. There are a few hospital's there . I too would love a small city. Only problem i hear small ones like saranda are packed in the summer then half the city closes the rest of the year. So this is what were doing. Im not telling you what to do. just what were doing. We have a one year lease in Tirana. In the winter we will travel to the small towns to see what their like in the off season. Is it doable all year round. The good thing with Tirana is everything stays open year round. Then we will decide if we move or stay in Tirana and visit smaller cities. I hope this helps
