If Jesus was in the congregation when the question was asked about anyone objecting speaking up or forever holding their peace...?!?!? WWJD??? If a Christian chooses to be present, then they MUST speak up for Truth!!

The only question a person need to ask themselves is "Would Jesus go to the wedding?". It shows a person to be a Christian hypocrite if they attend.

our primary concern is our Heavenly Father. Out of respect and honor to Him I will not attend. He is Holy. His Word is True and cannot change. My behavior should be Truth in Love.

Why even called them wedding though? It is a ceremony, not a wedding. These people are loss on their way to hell unless they repent.

This issue comes down to whether we should not attend a wedding because it conflicts with our Christian principles or that we should attend the wedding to demonstrate our continual love of a person and by retaining this relationship we may someday influence their life and lead them to Christ. The Pharisees rebuked Christ because he ate with sinners and tax collectors but by doing so he demonstrated that his love of them as people overshadowed the evil that they had done. In the case of Zacchaeus it led to repentance. Luke 19:8 But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.”

Mohler: leading from behind as usual. Over a month after the issue came to light. Plenty of time to gauge the wind. Will be looking for his comments on “He gets us” sometime in May.

Pastor Allberry is still incorrect. Christ says to shake the dust off your cloak if they refuse to hear the Word. I would assume if they are actively living a gay lifestyle they have refused Christ.

Mohler himself was disgraced a few years ago, and now this is the first I have heard from him since then.

Let's just take Allistair Begg of the pulpit for a moment. Because the GOOD that comes from this is that it's making people question. Taking sin off a scale in the sense of bad to worse is the first thing. The commands of God to Moses was a covenant between the people and God. So to go with someone to lie to someone, to go with someone who is slanderous and intends to slander, to go with someone to murder someone, all these things seem easy to answer. Mostly because even homosexuals don't like being lied to or murdered or slandered. Sin hates sin done to itself. What about going with someone to abort their child? Feels heavier on the scale... like attending a gay marriage. But those who sit with liars are as guilty as those who attend abortions and murders and gay marriages. Psalms 1. I was invited to my nieces gay wedding, I was very close to my niece and got along with her companion, but I declined to go to her wedding. It hurt both of them, they were mad and didn't communicate for a time. But they came around and our relationship resumed. Thanking God, my niece finally walked away from that lifestyle. I know how hard it is to be in this hot seat. I won't attend a liars school, conference or any such thing either. Yet, a covenant breaking in the sight of God is very serious. If people knew how serious they would 1) be a bit more cautious about getting married, 2) be way more serious about divorce. In God's sight hetero divorce is right up there with homo-marriage. So...choose you this day whom you will serve. If yourself, it's the devil, if someone else, it's the devil if God, then ALL sin is not a place of debate. But how many Christians scrutinizing this Allister Begg thing can stand righteous on that basis? Can you hear the sound of rocks hitting the ground?

It's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich man into heaven, Mr Osteen has a lot at stake so yes he would of course attend even when he knows what the scripture says.

I am a little confused? Can someone help clarify??? I seem to distinctly recall Albert Mohler publicly apologizing and repenting for preaching "against" gender dysphoria only a year or two ago.?? Recognizing that there were people with different genders than just male and female. Did I miss something? Did he repent from doing that? He seems to be one that they quote and listen to all of a sudden now.🤔

My son was married to his partner, of which I refused to go in a loving way and have always treated them with respect. With that said, my son wants nothing to do with me. I am praying for them both and desire that they both Repent and turn to Christ.

Joel is a spinless jelly fish

Several thoughts here. Joel and Victoria are mo match for Piers. He tossed the bait, and they both fell hook, line, and sinker. Joel looked like a cat on a hot tin roof. I thought his wife threw him under the bus in the attending a gay wedding question. And, I noticed Joel said he wouldn't want to "disrespect" a friend by not attending his or her gay wedding. Hmmmmmm, I suppose this means he would put his friend's ceremony above that which God abhorres and considers evil. There is no real difference in Mr. Osteen and Mr. Begg in their excuses. Both find their compassion and respect (in this situation) overriding God's instruction. Serious error of judgment on their part. I have just come across your channel and have enjoyed it thus far.

Has Gospel Coalition abandoned the gospel? I have always had a hesitation with Alistair Begg, and now I know why.

How about ... God's Word trumps the law of the land? GOD never changes His mind about SIN. I haven't seen any revisions in His Word by the Holy Spirit concerning this subject. He calls it an abomination, and clearly names homosexuals as having no permission to enter heaven. DON'T go.

What is wrong with some Christians? God does not need us to defend Him or His word! These people have a problem with God and His Word. God and His Word are offensive to sinners. So if you, a Christian who believes in the Bible, you too will be offensive to them. We represent God here on this earth. So going to a so-called gay wedding, you bring God in the mix. Which is confusing to gays who know what the Bible says about them. God says to preach the gospel and He will do the rest to save people. Stop all this fleshly compassion that is sending people to Hell!

So..what about a Christian (who is divorced) asking you to attend a their wedding to an unbeliever. Is that a “real” wedding? It is a heterosexual wedding and you showed a clip that said all heterosexual weddings are real wedding. Is this a real wedding?
