I live in southern Alberta and sometimes on weekends we just go to the mountains to watch the northern lights and it's breathtaking

What do you define as southern Alberta? I’m curious how far north to see these you would need to be. Are they visible in say, Lethbridge Alberta or Creston BC etc

Can some one help: I'm off to Canada, august for 12-23 months most likely Banff for over seas experience. Northern lights are on my bucket list so what's the chance, how often and how vivid are they in and around banff or maybe British Columbia where i might spend some time too? Cheera in advance

get an app on your phone when you are here..that should help but other than that try to be up early to check the night sky..around here August nights may be a bit short but getting longer so you have a good chance to catch them.
