Thank G0D, There was room @ the cross for me, my brother was my pastor at the time, led me back to Jesus Christ, didn't want to submit but the master of my soul beckoned me to come & I said yes, still standing at 70 years young ,GOD is 🙏💜🔥 faithful

We are a blessed people! Our elders laid a foundation for us to go into the future. I grew up listening to gospel music with my grandmother and mother. Boy, do I miss them and those days.

This is my Mama, & I miss her each & everyday. There is not a day that goes by that something reminds me of her. Those who still have mothers hug, kiss & talk to them, because there will come a time when you can’t😢.

The King and Queen of Gospel in the house was enough to tear the roof off the house. I miss the pure sound of Gospel music. These were the songs and the people that I can still call to help me get to the Lord in prayer. Thanks so much for sharing.

Mahalia was often referred to as the Mother while Albertsons the Queen since she “birthed” so many legends like Shirley, Dorothy and James, but ppl die and titles move on to other folks. Many call Shirley the Queen now
