That's what I thought originally and if that were the case, it's useless to me (and most others). Being able to connect via USB makes this app VERY useful!

I also use it for the eachine otg receiver with the gofpv app and works great making my phone an fpv monitor for my furibee f36 which I mounted a camera to.

Edward Ramirez I just threw it a box and never thought I'll use it again. I was also able to connect a flysky transmitter to my phone using it. I put my phone in a old set of VR goggles and was able use it with a simulator.This lil piece has opened up so many possibilities.

Edward Ramirez Not the one that comes with it. That's only for updates. I bought one off of Amazon for $10. You can get it from BG for about $6.

On Linux no need to mess with drivers if your build properly supports your hardware. If you can't see your FC then you've got a Linux install issue and to diagnose that would be way beyond the scope of this channel.

If the current draw is too much from the phone, most phones will shut off power going out of the USB port. Also, you can't burn the FC from the USB port.

Is the flight controller flashed with Betaflight 3.1 or higher? If it's an older version or you have Cleanflight flashed, that might be why it doesn't work.

You might have a setup where something is connected to your flight controller and is drawing too many amps. The phone can power the flight controller but not anything else.

I've been told it won't work with iPhones.

As with anything new (and potentially buggy), caution is always advised!

not posiible to calibrate on mine. and there is not angle. or at least not in the quad, at least. but is better than nothing, something it does. NEED A BETTER RELEASE (?) p.x. and you put let's say osd on, and the app put it on, and it's on but when yoiu reconnect with the app, the osd is marked off. Even if on the quad remain on. Weird. And those are to develop it better. No bad feelings here. Progress.

You need a special OTG cable (see links in description) and you need a phone that supports that feature. Otherwise it won't work.

Ok I got my cable in today but when I plug it in my phone is not powering the FC. Do some flight controllers require the battery to be plugged in?

If it's an SPI receiver, yes.

With a lot of stuff Android, there might be compatibility issues. It might support OTG but may not provide enough current to power up the FC. Or it could just be a bug...

Try powering down the phone and turning it back on. Sometimes the OTG function is disabled if your FC is sending power back to the phone. It shuts it off to protect the phone.

Thanks man. The one I use is called "Betaflight CM" and the dev says that changes to Butterflight via CLI page are totally fine.... Thats cool, but of course full compatibility would be wicked.

It will work for Apple using Bluetooth only. Android users have the option of Bluetooth or OTG cable.

The Speedybee bluetooth usb adapter works great with iphone. I cannot get cable to work with my iphone or ipad. Also having an issue connecting with a bluetooth LE module connected to uart on inav fc. seems to be an apple thing. android works fine
