Adagio in G minor - Albinoni (Remo Giazotto)
performed by Milkica Radovanovic in Bodø Cathedral in Norway on German organ built by Hermann Eule Orgelbau.
The Adagio in G minor is a Neo-Baroque composition popularly attributed to the 18th century Venetian master Tomaso Albinoni, but in fact composed almost entirely by the 20th century musicologist and Albinoni biographer Remo Giazotto, purportedly based on the discovery of a manuscript fragment by Albinoni.

A composition like that properly played on organ is one of the really rare things that put a tear into my eye :) I'm unable to understan why, but yeah... that's how it is.

It is a masterful interpretation! So well prepared and highly concentrated, the dynamic increases come to the point. In my mind I feel every note played and at the end I know exactly what it means to have played through these 9 minutes in a row. It is very impressive and beautiful. I find it interesting to position your feet so high above the deeds. If I ever wanted to try this myself, I squeezed my thighs under the console.

It is strange how a piece of organ music written in the mid 20th century can be so hauntingly beautiful. It is probably correct to call it neo-baroque and has been used in countless films and even television adverts yet is accepted by the various Christian churches . It was played at the funeral of Princess Diana.

I think it's originally believed to have been a baroque composition (Albinoni) that was rebuilt from fragments by Giazotto (and what a fabulous job he did!).

He escuchado con los ojos cerrados y visto su vídeo con atención. En ambos casos con placer y agradezco no solo su habilidad como artista sino también su culto reconocimiento al verdadero autor Giazotto... a contrapelo de su errónea atribución a Albinoni a pesar del bulo innecesario que se montó para ayudar a su lanzamiento. Felicito a Ud. nuevamente como intérprete talentosa y extiendo mi aplauso a sus colaboradores para presentarnos su maestría excelente que hará historia en los medios de comunicación.
