We would definitely agree! A lot more culture in Lisbon and we would love to tour more of northern Portugal, wine regions etc. We are from Canada and simply wanted a mild, sunny winter experience this year! However, after being in this lovely country for two months, we know there is so much more to explore and experience. Recommendations for our future travels would be greatly appreciated!! Don t take me wrong, Albufeira is great, very fun , lots of bars and pubs, night life, great beaches, but yes to know Portugal and the portuguese its to much touristic now a days, the center of albufeira almost makes me think i am in London lol@@mitchandjan. Besides the big cities and the most usual touristic destinations, go to the interior and you will find another country inside Portugal... And be prepared for amazing food, amazing wine, amazing hidden restaurants and amazing places and people. And yes we can still travel safely around all Portugal specially in the rural zones :) You guys have fun in my little country.

@@JPVNG67 We definitely felt the super touristy vibe! We do not like being called into restaurants etc and make it a rule to not eat anywhere that people are bugging you to go inside. The bar and disco scene is not for us at all and most of that was very shut down when we were there In November, but you could certainly see what a party town it would be in the summer season!! We definitely want to experience the more interior, authentic side of Portugal. From our experience, the people we met were so lovely, friendly and proud of their country and we absolutely LOVE that!! We went to Lagos last month and have videos coming from that. It was also an expat, tourist community, but we stayed in a more local neighbourhood, where we connected with locals and they were so sweet. We frequented what we thought was more local restaurants and pasteleries and loved the small town vibe. When we head back to Portugal, we may be asking you for some local recommendations and off the map places to visit because we absolutely LOVED your little country SO much!❤
