You really have to give omah lay credit for being brave enough to drop something as huge as a debut album literally a few days after Burna boy released “love damini” it shows you how confident he is with his craft..💜💜💜

Boy Alone is not just an album but an experience. You could literally feel his emotions all through the project. "Safe Haven" was the height of it. Great album.. 💯

Omah lay’s roll out/strategy for boy alone drop was quite bad tbh. He had the attention track, but I feel he should have dropped “I’m a mess or bend you” to get more buzz for the album. I might be wrong tho 🤷🏾‍♂️. Regardless this probably my album of the year.

youre right, attention was the perfect song for them to have used to promote the album. They should have waited till the album dropped then use the song as the lead song. They gave up their last card too early. Woman should have been dropped at that point instead.

This album for me is the album of the year and his best album yet. Lyrics are🤤 beats are goood goood then add the vulnerability he displayed on the album. Boy alone definitely deserves album of the year award no 🧢

His album's good! I'm not an album person with our afrobeats artist. But for boy Alone, I'm down with almost all the songs on that album. I, soso, safe haven, I'm a mess, never forget, bend you... naa! His album is dope. I definitely agree with you on the rant. It gave am insight on a bit of her personality which Nigerians relate to. 'Paraing' ounce ounce is a necessity

After coming from a concert and seeing him perform some of the songs live was unreal. Omah Lay puts his heart in his craft and his stage presence is just as good as listening to the album. He def deserves more recognition though🔥

soso is not an "anyhow" song. the message of the song is mainly in the lyrics, and not necessarily in the sound. the "gbedu" sound in soso was only to hide the excessive pain in the song. this was done because Omah lay wants you to dance your pain away. I don't see how Kizz Daniel would have helped pass this message. most of Daniel's songs are just cruise. Omah Lay is an artist that is very serious about the message in his music (especially in this album), and I'm sure he'd laugh at the suggestion that Kizz Daniel should have been on soso. This shit means a lot more to Omah Lay than the charts and ranks. Y'all gotta *recognize* !!!💜

The album is really really good but it came out at the wrong time 🙄. An upcoming following a giant at the back. Is this playing? Burna is raving and Omah should have rested a while before dropping. His songs are dope if not almost at the same level with burna's. One thing is confidence and being good another is opening your eyes to see pure fact. Following Burna is not a good move for me. Should have dropped either before or a little after. Coz now Burna's album is taking the moment, wizzy is still coming, baddo self deh there and also the rave of the moment ASAKE is coming too. Anyways big ups to him. Love the album. The message was directly relatable

What this guy said around minute 11 is so true.. I remember when he was mentioning top young artists and he was shouting Buju without mentioning Omah lay.. I was like bruhh are you ma@d? But this Omah album I never understand am. Sounds monotonous and I never hear 1 lamba. David, kiss or tek suppose dey. maybe I just have to listen again.

I totally get it... The reason why the album isn't getting so much praise is the LEAD SINGLES (only "Understand" was a banger, and the rest below it, he should have led with momentum or dropped "Understand" last instead of having weaker singles), the features on the album & his overall BRAND and energy. He is too nonchalant, chilled and aloof for a PH boy. He should be a bit crazy and controversial. Attention is key.

I honestly love the album I prefer it as an album to Love Damini.. Boy alone doesn’t have skips just that love Damini has some hits and that’s it.. But as an album I prefer Boy alone.. A bigger artist can release trash album and cause of Fam base still sell and that’s what love Damini is..
