@@bibifangel1791 Buyeon's soul was not alive, it was just clinging into Naksu's energy because they were in water and Naksu is water dragon etc etc. Like... It was quiet clear that Naksu was the dominant soul in that body. If he sacrificed Naksu's soul, Buyeon and was going to die with her too. The body as well. But her mother chose the body so he got rid of Buyeon's soul and used Naksu's energy to make her a shape shifter. I thought it was so simple that so many people were able to theorize it even before the show started...

@@linacaromina Buyeon's soul was indeed alive, even she was the one who saved Naksu and Uk, and the master confirms that her soul is alive, Naksu dominated in interactions but Buyeon was the one who took care of protecting, IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE for her to be discarded and leave everything to her for naksu

Her soul was weak atp and they needed just one soul to let the body live. And Buyeon was only alive because of Naksu's energy. Once they did get rid of her soul Buyeon was going to die anyway. Plus they used Naksu's energy to make her a shape shifter, it was not going to happen with Buyeon. It's not different from being dead. Buyeon was always a plot device, what were you expecting? Which her storyline isn't even ended lol, she has scenes in the next episodes. Anyway, if you want it to not make sense, so I don't need to explain. Bye

If you noticed Naksu were not completely amnesia. Her reaction, her question, her longing eyes everytime he sees Jang Uk, the sadness in her eyes when he thought Jang Uk didn't came. She is consciously or unconsciously but I think she is conscious. She is contemplating which Jang Uk put his love was, to Mudeok or Naksu since they are both play this role in Mudeok body. Indeed Mudeok chose to keep Naksu soul while Naksu made soul transfer. Naksu didn't choose Mudeok that's why the blue marks didn't appear in Mudeok body. Jung Uk try to detect Mudeok in Jin Buyeon eyes, like did to Mudeok when he saw Naksu in part 1. Buyeon seems hurt than she start asking about Mudeok history, Jang uk got emotional and Buyeon seems hurting. It clears Jang Uk can not recognized Buyeon but Buyeon recognized it. In the other hand Jang Uk toward Buyeon, I see he fell already, Buyeon already fill his mind and he said, I don't even need you but why you so nuisance while buyeon did just lay. The plot really interesting and the chemistry in this part 2 so good! The longing in both eyes....

Not quite as deep, but sometimes when she smiles she gives off that Seo Yeji vibe. She certainly is quite beautiful though.

Nope. In part 1 Uk loves Naksu in Mudeok body because of their adventure I am still contemplating it how he does it. In part 2 he misses 'Mudeok' but loves Naksu but his mind already fill with Buyeon just in two encounter. Recall Uk never know how Naksu appearances.

Janguk is in love with naksu not mudeok. he didn't know who is mudeok actually is. He spends his days with naksu 🤦‍♀.. Naksu also love Janguk and already tells Yul about her feeling.

I beg to differ - Jang UK was always in love with Naksu and vice versa. In my opinion writers have done really well here to omit all other possible scenarios we have had in our minds. What i found really good is both actresses as they matched their mannerism to keep the consistency of Naksu's character. At some point her old memories would start coming back and it will all pan out well. However I am still not sure about happy ending of this show, firstly the body they have presumed is of priestess, while healing the appearance reverted according to its soul so from physical perspective its still a mage and priestess. question is would she exhibit the lingering power of bu-yeon at some stage or will purely have nuksu's power.. also the old love mage and priestess while solving the crisis of drought and soul shifters were separated at the end ... would the history repeat itself in case of jang uk and nuksu or viewers will get hyped happy ending.. lets see :)

I get what you mean, I too really liked Jang Uk’s bubbly personality. But now I think it’s reasonable that he’s more serious since his lover is presumably dead and he has to bear the burden of the ice stone. There isn’t really anything for him to be all happy about. As for Naksu, I think the character change was much needed for the sake of plot, even though I really liked Mu-deok too. Guess we’ll just have to keep watching to see what happens

Well no hate but if viewers will lessen the expectation of so min through the character of the yoon jung as naksu you will not spot the difference. At first I also want so min to appear even for the first episode only but they didn't show her instead It was a great start of yoon jung's character. And yes I was thinking also on how will it be if so min is the one playing that scene that's where I will be noticing what is lacking or missing since we are expecting another thing. I am not saying that we should ignore what happen in the s1 what I'm only trying to say is we should be open watching the whole episodes without comparing or thinking of another person playing the female lead. Maybe you will notice the chemistry they have

First season Jang UK was loving Naksu' soul in buyeons body. This season...Jang UK is loving Naksu' body with with buyeons soul. That's my rationality lol so far

Yul can’t recognise her because he only saw naksu when she was a kid and saw naksu’s adult face only for a while when her body was being preserved in songlim so he might not recognise her right away. He did think that her face was familiar. And it’s not buyoen’s soul in naksu’s body, it’s still naksu’s soul in buyeon’s body because when the mother found mudeok’s (/buyeon’s) body, it was already petrified. The master had to rebuild it but the only soul left there was naksu’s. So when he rebuilt it, the body started to take the form of the soul. And as for marriages in their time, go won didn’t get to complete the ceremonies which is why it’s not valid but here jang uk and buyeon are indicating that they consummated their relationship. Hence became a couple.

Yeah, it doesn't make sense. But in my mind I treat it like 2 separate shows and stop looking for the sense in it. The first two episodes where light and funny and the actors did a good job with the material they were offered. If we go looking for sense it will destroy everything. Young lady Jin and Dangu were supposed to be married. It doesn't make sense why she blames Dangu for her father's death when she was there too and no one could really stop Naksu. It doesn't make sense for Yeol to be still ok after three years without the special medicine for that worm. It seems more like the director wanted 2 seasons and he got 2 seasons. Though the second one is just 10 episodes. And it seems that they changed So Min either because she had other arrangements or because the director wanted more angst and he couldn't torment the characters any other way.

Incidentally, the Hong Sisters wrote this story. They are very well-regarded writers, they wrote one of the first dramas I ever watched called You're Beautiful, and also recently another I very much liked, Hotel Del Luna. They have had some misses as well, but the lore of this new fantasy world has been mostly quite good, so I'll continue to watch the second season.
