I disagree. I think they fell in love, as much as vampires can love. He relished her enough to make her last. He was angry when he was interrupted on the ship when he was feasting off of her. He told her that she came closer than anyone else (to killing and captivating him). He did not rip her head off when the ship blew off, but grabbed her face and hesitated. Later, in the house before he attacked Zoe, he looked at the identification carefully, knowing it was not Agatha. He was defiant with Zoe--but at the same time tenderly touched her when he took the blood vial and gave his blood, giving her several hints--and an email-- to drink it. She did, and near the end, she did become his old antagonist, Agatha. He was shocked that she drank his blood, but it gave him a chance to reconnect with Agatha again. Lucy was also important, but in the end, he stamped her out. She could not give him what Agatha did---and only Agatha could. She was ahead of her time, and Dracula was really "behind" the time as could be seen by his jaded views of the new world. Even all its pleasures could not replace what he had with Agatha---even if for a short time. The ending was perfect---he gave her a dream of him---not someone else. They had a mental and physical union of sorts. I felt the series was very rushed, but the ending was as good as we could get under the time constraints.

He knew she was turning. He also had to snap Johnny’s neck to try to turn him faster. Agatha would have died eventually from turning and probably saw it as speeding up the process I also think he wanted to see her outwit her way out.

Why in the past 10 years every vampire has to be 18 years old and a vegetarian?? They are not too old, dracula has hundreds of years and looks like just 40 there to me, so... Young.

@@jessica5497 You actually gave me the idea to look it up. Vlad the Impaler, the inspiration to Dracula, was 45-49 years old, when he died (both dates are aproximate given he lived in the 15th century). But let's say she expressed concern for the creators that they took such a risk considering the usual target audience for vampire fiction. 😉
