Pros:

Cons:
The caps don't match the ink and with so many close colors swatches are necessary. I used sticker paper to make swatches to go on the marker
You might have to readjust a nib here and there.
2 of the fluorescent markers are actually water-based.
You may receive doubles of some color. I printed out the swatch from the sales page so I could make sure I had each color.
Bottom line: It is a great deal for a large variety of alcohol markers. If you are willing to do the swatching and fix any issues that might have slipped by quality control you will be happy with the set and you really can't beat the price.

Is not just you. I could start to watch it bet after a bit it start buffering. Changed my internet connection, still the same. I can watch other videos normally, don't quite understand why I cannot watch this one.. 🤔

I've been having the same problem, too. I tried advancing the video a few times and it'll play for maybe 2-3 seconds, then start buffering again. Maybe loads of fans are also trying to do the same, hehe. I was going to wait til later tonight and see if I can watch it all the way through. I'm in suspense! 😅 Oh! It just started up again! 🤞🤞🤞

I use the same technique when I get a new set of markers. Instead of making a color swatch chart, I take blank stickers, color over them and wrap them around either the cap or the barrels, so when I pull the marker out, I can see what color it is. It really beats making a color chart. I used this method with my Ohuhu markers, my Graph 'It B markers and the same product you reviewed. But I got the 120 set of ArtBeek's.

Btw, I think everyone should make their color swatches on the paper they use. Not the paper that normally comes with the markers. I never use those pre-printed swatch sheets, because I like to have my swatches on the paper I'm using.

These look like the markers Action sells in Europe. It's a dollar tree type shop. I got these as ohuhu alternatives for my kids because they're so cheap and there's lots of colours. They work just fine. And my kids feel like they have fancy markers too 😊 The white ones are water based and the black alcohol based in our shops. Now I'm actually going to watch the video.

wow what a deal i got the sanjoki set and won a 120 set of ohuhus,im not able to paint with them yet but i did color some silver metal tins ,i put down the ink and sprayed alcohol they are very pretty,thank you i would like to use them more,

It took several tries on both my phone and my computer to get this to finally play, but it was well worth seeing. It's not 'the putting in a lot of hard work" that bothers me about this set, but that I don't have the knowledge re- quired that comes from working with colors for years, knowing what to blend with what to get the color you want, to be able to see that the blue gray, looked like a cool gray and knowing to make the switch, the ability to clearly see under tone colors, etc. that I don't have, that makes me hesitate. Plus $100 is not in my budget range no matter how great the bargain, and this is a real bargain for a set of brush tips. I already bought a budget set that looks great, but many markers have the number matching the swatch sheet, but the swatch sheet shows the color name for that number to be a totally different color than the one the marker actual- ly is. This happens within many totally different color ranges.The included pre- printed, colored in swatch sheet sent as an ex- ample has the exact same mis- match between the color it shows and the color name it is labeled with. This makes me think that any attempt at an ex- change would just give me an identically messed up set. Other color mis- matches occur. I doubt if the budget seller would be willing to help in straight- ening this out. This looks like a factory quality control issue with the wrong color numbers being put on at least 25% of the markers.

That's why swatching is so important and if you put a swatch on the marker you will know what's up.

Hullo Lindsay, I am watching the video after it has been posted for 4 hours, no problems with watching for me.😊 I am glad that you are putting these markers through the “paces” and I am not sure that even for a budget brand if I feel comfortable with recommending these? I believe Ohuhu has become a quality marker at a still affordable price! I am even considering buying Ohuhu should I need to buy new or add more markers to my selections ! I believe that you have given us a wonderful review and enough information about these for a purchase or pass, thank you!

Thanks for this. I am often drawn to cheap stuff if it comes in the full range of colours. But it always ends up being more work for me to sort out, so I always end up deciding to go for a more expensive version. 😂

@Ladycrafty6 copics are having major quality controll issues. One being a flaw in the caps making them dry out. My 14 year old copics stay nice and juicy unless I actually use them up. I wouldn't but ones made in the last 3 years

Based on sets I own that run on this color system, it looks like the colors of 50 & 63 should be switched, and 61 & 65 (for my sets, 61 is slighty darker than 65). I've got my inspection monocle on now looking for any other possible color mix ups lol 🧐 Much love as always 💞 💞 💞

I wouldn't mind seeing you use the STA Dual Alcohol Based Marker Fineliners. I'm so unsure about those but they seem neat. But I don't know how good they are for fineliner becuse I would use em so much.

I have very similar markers. Mine are black tho and called Chotune markers. They also have a fine nib instead of the chisel nib. I got the 168 set and the 36 Skin Color set and I love them. They also come with the double-sided brush tip and none of my markers was dry or even slightly dry. I put them all on a kitchen scale, and all of them were the same weight, 17g. I paid €67 for both sets, and I'm really happy with this purchase and highly recommend these markers (well, the Chotune ones I have at least). My number 50 (forest green) is a very strong medium/dark green color, btw. So my Chotune either use a different type of ink, or your marker wasnt filled with the right color. Hard to believe thie blue ink is supposed to be the correct one of that marker, tho. Edit: I can't believe you had water-based markers inbetween the alcohol ones. O.O I just checked my Chotune color swatch list just to make sure, but luckily mine are all alcohol-based inks. This is a huge red flag, if you ask me. Either someone made a really big boo-boo at the factory where these were filled/packed, or it's on purpose. Which is unacceptable.

I have actually seen that before with neons in a big set. I bet the factory also makes highlighters. I've never had it happen with colors other than neon.

You’re right. They were an absolute jumbled mess when I received mine! Scattered with loose lids and some lids off. However, I paid 33 cents a marker before tax so I can overlook that. It was a sale plus the $30 coupon. I turned them on their side in a bin to give some support to the back and sides.

I have a small set with a floppy container. I used the cardboard box that the markers came in to line the inside of that container. It works really well. It stiffened the sides up and absorbed the looseness.

Hi Lindsay! I was having issues trying to watch on my phone, so I switched to my laptop and still had that weird buffering thing going on. I gave up on my laptop and pulled up your two previous Art Whale w/c videos instead 😀. I saw that they have an 18 piece set of acrylics- interesting! 75ml tubes. Would you ever do a review of those? I'll try this video again a little later!

The video was definitely glitchy. But I was able to get through it I did rewatch like 3 hours later. I honestly thought it was my phone😅. As for these markers they seem like a budget steal. If I was just getting into Markers I would totally jump on this especially because of the pastely range they have. It would definitely help a beginner up their game.

Thanks for the helpful information. Off to check out the bread that you mentioned towards the end of this video. FYI there were a few places where this video caused it would go forward but I found that if I just bumped the time but forward of it or two it worked fine. I went back to check those type stamps again and it seemed to still be Frozen on those spots. Think it happened about three times in the first half hour. What example is it within the first 2-5 minutes. Just curious if anybody else ran into that issue? Blessings.

The video played normally for me. There are glitchy things on KZfaq. For example sometimes the sound goes in and out on KZfaq but not on any other site. If I reboot my phone the glitches disappear.

Okay, came back and tried again and still couldn't get past the problem areas unless I skipped at least 2 minutes and for me there was another 3x that it would hang up and just rewinding wouldn't work or trying to skip 30 seconds or so wouldn't either. However, if I skipped 2 minutes it would continue so that's what I did every time it would stall out. All together that's like 5 or 6 stalls. Crazy but hopefully trying to manually skip ahead helps someone else and for me that magic number was around 2 minutes. I hope this helps so people can at least get most of the content and KZfaq doesn't read a bunch of us quitting before the end since that would affect her stats. Good luck!😂

I unfortunately had the 5 something mark problem and after hitting rewind it works still get stuck but eventually after six or so times I got through only for it to get stuck at 12:46 and nothing I do works this time. It just buffers every single time in the same place. Out of all the videos I've never seen anything like this happen to so many viewers. If you look at the review at the top you'll see most posted under it that had the issue. This is just so weird. I'll check back later and try again.😂

You comment a lot about alizarin crimson being fugitive but then use markers? They are NOTORIOUS for yellowing over a short amount of time and are not actually good for any longevity.

Not sure what it is about this video. It keeps buffering over and over. I'll start where it left off and then 30 seconds later it stops again. so weird, I hope whatever is up on KZfaq fixes itself. I don't know what to do. I might have to re-upload it but I am worried about losing all of the views and comments and I already backed up and deleted the original footage. I don't know why it plays fine on my computer and phone but not on my TV and other users have had issues on other devices. Right now I hope it fixes itself.@@Carol-pz3fs
