Doctor Thinles is aptly saying police department failed to do their part specifically at night and caused accidents. As the Police department transfer policy seems useless, the police officials/ officers from Kargil district are posted in Leh and Vice- versa that why they aren't taking responsibility for stopping the menace of Alcohol consumption specially at late night in and around of LEH City. 24*7*365 police department duties have ability to do miracles for stopping the menace of Alcohol consumption.

With the word of wisdom from Rinpoche's the consumption of meat has been reduced significantly. Now there should be focussed on the alarming stage of alcohol consumption.

Rehabilitation centres could be one option and most importantly young parents should understand that it is not okay to drink alcohol at home with their children around because then they are creating an environment where alcohol becomes a normal thing.

when people use to consume local beer chang only, there was no addiction issue , it only became when there was warehouses and wineshops. these owners of whorehouse and wine shop considers themself as high society, and class people, despite they're responsible for so many lost of life addiction and community crime. They are VIPS in Buddhist teachings . Now there is a huge wholesale in the middle of leh town at fort road to make it access to all young folks.
