I saw something similar on tiktok using the same technique but then blowing the ink around with a blow dryer. It looked pretty cool too. I tried it on a wine tumbler and was amazed at the results and how easy. New to alcohol inks and love them!

If you sand a tumbler can you immediately put the vinyl on or do you need another layer of epoxy first? 🤔

So no epoxy before inks this time. Seems so easy so I think I may be able to try this once I buy more alcohol. Alcohol is still very expensive in my area.

Yes, ink. THAN epoxy. And the only down side to this tumbler is wasting alcohol! I would recommend putting the alcohol in a small bottle, so you don’t pour it quickly like I did. Also, I purchase my alcohol on eBay in bulk!

That really looks awesome. I have 1 question, I have issues with dust particles getting on my cup. I do them in my garage and I keep the door shut. I wash every cup before I epoxy them and dry them with a towel or just let them dry in the sink. I also wash my glove because I’m not sure if they carry dust on them. What else can I do to keep them from getting dust particles on my cup when I’m epoxy them?

Cover them with a tote! I use plastic storage totes from Walmart!

@@chrishebert3240 Walmart has some pretty large totes! I guarantee you’ll be able to find one large enough. Take measurements before you leave your home and take your tape measure to Walmart with you.

I tried alcohol inks for the first time and did green exactly like yours, but for some reason it clumped up? Do you know what I could be doing wrong? I also don’t have a flat white it’s a gloss but I then spray painted it with a clear coat that is matte
