My dad is 48 and he said he has been using ONLY green alcohol to clean his face for 35 years and he has no visible aging. He has looked the same for like my whole life, and he looks really young so he tells me to use it as well, I don't know if I should though.

My face is badly damaged due to alcohol. I drink daily but i haven't had a drink in 20 days. I was fair before but now it is black. can i get my skin back. If I can, how much more time will it take?

Thank you for sharing with me! It is quite difficult to bring he skin back to the original point since it is usually a combination of factors, with alcohol among them. However, you will see some improvement if you are diligent about skin care and avoiding alcohol, of course

OK that's for aging. But does it actually reduce inflammation? Cause every time I drink some (I mostly noticed that after drinking some home made medicine with alcohol in very small quantities) that my face always seemed to be less red and my acne marks and other stuff on my face was less noticeable and that there were no new pimples coming and the few that were there, I felt less and also looked to have gotten better. After that I started looking for the connection and whenever I drink small quantities of alcohol over the day, my skin always looks better the nect day than if I don't.

That is an interesting observation... I would still be careful with the alcohol intake since it upsets your microbiome that can eventually result in some problems with skin

Sir i used minoxidil and my skin got damaged . Now my skin is ok . 1st i don’t know it contains alcohol . After my face got damaged . I checked the incredients list then i realise that it contains alcohol . So alcohol is bad for skin isn’t it ?

does this include all types of alcohol? Like cetearyl alcohol or denatured alcohol?

It is a very difficult problem. Fat goes away from the face laster than from the body and it is difficult to add it in a natural way. Facial volume can be restored nicely with fat grafting or facial fillers

You can keep your skin fairly good if you are diligent about your skincare. But I haven't met any alcoholics who cleanse, moisturize, apply anti wrinkle cream, etc. while drinking heavily… I did so nobody knew I had a drinking problem. I even took vitamins so my skin was better than the average people.

Alcohol dehydrates skin. Even oily typess of skin need hydration
